Bachchans still are 'Bollywood's Most Powerful Celebs'

After being unceremoniously dumped from prominent surveys, the Bachchans are back with a bang. Quashing unsavory rumours of a complete breakdown with bahu Aishwarya losing endorsements and 'Pa' Amitabh quoting tacky controversies, the A-list duo have topped 'Bollywood's Most Powerful Celebs' list, leaving several hot guns far and behind.

Once being touted as Bollywood's first family, the Bachchans popularity quotient took a backseat with no releases and constant loss of plum endorsements. But now the father-daughter-in-law combo has once again pulled back the family to its feet as they outshine the who's who of the entertainment world to win a top spot on the powerful celebrity poll.

In a survey by a news daily that boasted of top notch names like Priyanka Chopra, Asin, Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit and Sachin Tendulkar, Ash and Big B garnered maximum votes for celebs who hike sales.

So, no one moves the goods of the shelves the way this Bachchan duo does. As for the numbers, Ash bagged over 98.8 per cent of recognition as well as recall value. And Amitabh too didn't do bad as he and Tendulkar went at par to claim the top spot.

Amitabh Bachchan is the most powerful celebrity in the world. Ash is the only Indian actor who's famous world wide.

lol. Amitabh Bachchan is definitely not the most powerful celeb in the WORLD. Maybe in India, but not in the world. Unless you mean ONE of the most popular Indian celebs.. because I think SRK beats him there.

When AB SR is sick 1 billon people pray for him, I don't see that happening with any other celebrity. If Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt got sick I don't think even 1000 people would pray for them. I Know my comments are going to get lot of critic but remember we live in free world. I have right to express my opinion.

Anyways, maybe you're right, yes people pray for him (1 billion though is a far fetched number). But thats because Indians are a superstitious, religious lot. Duh! People are more agnostic in the west and are hence not star struck by stars! So they don't pray. Simple as that.

The only powerful celebrities in the world as of now are the two O's. Obama and Osama.Let's see which one wins.

Really? Thats your best argument? Speak for yourself. I'm no SRK fan, I'll be the first to bash him if he does something stupid. Same goes for Mr. overrated senior Bacchan. Neither are all that great in my opinion.

I only had to comment on the outlandish comment which is why I posted in this forum.😆
