Agree with you 110% You're very right about Sanjeev Kumar. It's a shame, really. I feel that he was a much more natural actor than his fellow actors but they received more recognition than he did. He was a sensitive performer indeed. And now that you bring up meri bheegi bheegi si.....that's such a classic song and one of Kishore Kumar's best. I think actors like Sanjeev Kumar are one of a kind. Most definitely my favourite actor of his time.

^^ No, you're not getting old! Actually, there are times when I also feel that films of the past are better than most films we have today. Only because some films today lack soul. However, films of that time were simple, subtle yet so beautifully written and characters were portrayed so naturally.

^^ True. I loved most of his films, he was a wonderful actor. I myself am an old soul. Most of my friends think I'm boring because there are times when I prefer watching a classic. But they don't understand that those films still have magic. That's why they are watched even today. In fact, I watched Anamika last week!

did you..? hehehe.. i was listening to meri bheegi bheegi just last week.. 😳
LOL.. i don't think you are old soul.. hehehehe.. but i loved those movies... i am so hooked on to them.. but i do like some stupid silly comedies they make nowadays.. if it's funny and can make me laugh, it's great.. i was watching intolerable cruelty just this morning.. and that court scene was hilarious.. 😆😆 ahh..
i also loved that movie Golmaal, the old one with amol palekar.. he was great actor too.. and his comic timing was just perfect.. see, most of the people back then were honest with their craft.. now, people are mostly busy being 'stars', not 'actors'..

I totally agree with all of you 200%. I would prefer watching a Big B movie anyday than watch a flop movie of his son. Ahhh, those were the days. 😔

Um, you took the words from me. This is exactly how I feel, and I am exactly the same age as you. This is more than a bit uncanny. But yes, those were all my mom's favorites, and I am so glad she used to make me watch all those movies with her. And I love Sanjeev Kumar-Jaya Bhaduri so much, I loved the type of movies they did. That was another era, but yes I do the whole reminscing thing too, and I loved Koshish. It seems like enough people don't remember Sanjeev Kumar, which is sad because he was one of my favorites from that era.

I'm sorry mods/admins...I donno if we are allowed to double quote..but I had to quote these two. HI5 SISTAAAAA'S!!😆 I fall in the same category as ya'll ,as my mum absolutely loved those movies and my dad loved the songs. Sunday mornings would start off with old hindi songs played on the cassette player (heck! do they even make cassettes now😛??) and afternoon's were soo blissful with these wonderful movies, esp. during May holidays in India. And these actors were pure gems. Jaya with her oh-so cute look+ skool girliness...but yet, an amazing performer. Sanjeev Kumar's underrated Oh and the songs...*sigh* none like those days..sooo hummable and soothing. Also, there was so much variety in genre, now everyone just wants to copy the west..like hello, India has such a rich culture..put it to use, na. I miss those days..jaane kahan gaye woh din!😭 simply priceless
