HI5 SISTAAAAA'S!!😆 I fall in the same category as ya'll ,as my mum absolutely loved those movies and my dad loved the songs. Sunday mornings would start off with old hindi songs played on the cassette player (heck! do they even make cassettes now😛??) and afternoon's were soo blissful with these wonderful movies, esp. during May holidays in India. And these actors were pure gems. Jaya with her oh-so cute look+ skool girliness...but yet, an amazing performer. Sanjeev Kumar's underrated Oh and the songs...*sigh* none like those days..sooo hummable and soothing. Also, there was so much variety in genre, now everyone just wants to copy the west..like hello, India has such a rich culture..put it to use, na. I miss those days..jaane kahan gaye woh din!😭 simply priceless

HI5 fnrds 😆..
and even today , wen i come back from m college at night it is regular for me to listen to old songs.. it gives me relaxation and calms me down! those songs are out of the world!!! those singers will never b born again , those music directors were the best ever... RD, SD, salil , madanmohan , LP , Nuasad , etc etc. :)
i miss those days too!! i never lived during those days bt my childhood ws filled with these gr88 artists and singers, soo for me nostalgia means 60s-70s and 80s (except mithun films and bappi lahiri 's music 😆)

oh Amrita I didnt recognize your new name 😊 I should have guessed by your posts tho always the sweet and non controversial one. Hope you aced your exams!
yeah those were the simple days when we along with the whole family used to wait for Sundays since we had nothing else but DD 😆Now we have so many channels that I keep switching channels and do not even watch one show properly.
You are right Amrita - the old classic songs even when we listen to them today they feel so fresh unlike most of the songs composed today.
