I think Kajol is more versatile than Rani though I love both actresses.
and Sonam is way too new in the film industry to be comparing legends like Kajol and Rani. 😳

I don't get why Sonam is being castigated for this comment though😕.....I too think that Kajol is a better actress but just cuz Sonam gave her opinion on this Rani vs. Kajol thing, she's being called a 'flop' actress and 'arrogant'??😕😕

Even though I disagree vehemently with Sonam's comment, I find it a bit hypocritical that people are stating that she shouldn't be stating her opinion because she is not "worthy" enough to make such comments or that she lacks the talent to make such a statement or that she is too much a newbie to express her opinion on these "legends". Isn't that exactly what we're all doing here on the Bollywood forum? Most of us barely have any acting experience and yet, here we are making comments on the actresses. If we were to adhere to the doctrine that advocates only people who have achieved what the 'legends' have should comment/compare, we should shut up because most of us here aren't experienced enough in the acting arena to make comments on the acting calibre of such 'legends'. However, here we are arguing about who is the more versatile actress without acting experience and such. So, why the double standards when it comes to Sonam?

i personally dnt agree with sonam abt this... i am a big sonam fan , bt for me kajol all the way..

bt it is her opinion , so she can state wat she feels like . bt i feel she shud now think twice before speaking , becoz she is not anymore some normal person like us ,bt a mainstream actress .. so every word of her wil b scrutinised...

bt there is no reason for going aftr her for saying rani being better than kajol .. and calling her flop actress and saying she hs no right to say such stuffs etc etc!! arey yaar kajol aur rani ko hi compare kiya!! she didnt compare herself to kajol or rani!!😆 soooo???

I don't agree with her as I think Kajol also has done a lot of different roles; I love both actresses 👏

And Sonam shouldn't be comparing them, as she is new, it would be good for her to be careful what she says - if she wants to be supportive of Rani, she doesn't need to phrase it like that

yes someone needs to teach the girl how to be a bit more tactful when she speaks...other people say the same thing but they put it in a much more tactful way...it's all about how you say it more than what you say! but it's easier said than done for sure. it comes with experience.

wow i agree with you on all the bits you said, i think sonam is allowed to have a opinion only because she is an actress dont mean she is cant express her views. i think people should not call her a flop actress or arrogant because firstly you dont know her personally to say she is arrogant and secondy only box office results dont count, if that was the case i think stars such konkana and nandita would be todays top actresses.

by the way i do disagree with sonams comment aswell
