Sonam: Rani has variety to show unlike Kajol!

I concur, I dont think she is the best actress in the industry too, Like I said Tabu is much better! But when it comes to her versatility that is unquestionable, she has proven with her body of work, that she can simply play any role with conviction, and she shines. Nothing that Kajol has done ever seems artifical, she simply outdoes herself everytime!

Just out off curiosity why do you feel she is over-rated?

It's so funny for someone who did average acting, the same acting in both of her flop movies to compare other people like that.

Kajol did variety of roles. Maybe Sonam should watch Kajol's movies in the 90's. She played a villian, she played a lover, she played a blind person, played a poor, played a rich person, played a tom boy and so many other characters. She even played double roles in some of her movies.

Rani also did variety of roles but Kajol is more experienced since she worked in movies years before rani

interesting quote.. if she is going to be 'honest', then she should also mention that she is biased towards Rani..!! she has her opinon and she's entitled to it, but i wish she would stop acting like this little girl.. some of the things she says leave me dumbfounded.. 😆😆 she tries too hard to fit in.. she should just focus on her own career and not make silly comments like that, like seriously.. girl, please focus on your own career.. i know this is all new to you but if you are going to be honest, be honest completely.. like mention that fact that you haven't seen much of Kajol's work, etc... please please do that, will ya..?

Rani is a great actress and her Black was plain awesome..!! but Kajol is anyday better than Rani, imo.. and for those who think Kajol is overrated, that just makes me chuckle.. just because you are mainstream bollywood doesn't mean you are not a good actress.. one doesn't have to do 'art movies' in order to prove their niche..!!! anywhos..

and i agree with everything eklavyafan1 has said..!! with the exception of Tabu being the better actress.. i think they're both on par with each other.. and it's hard for me to judge the two.. 😊

p.s. no offense to Sonam fans..

As far as I'm concerned, Kajol and Rani are both overrated. Add Madhuri, Aishwarya and Kareena to the list while you're at that too. I don't consider hamming your way through out the movie to be acting. Yes, there are movies where all 5 have been good but for me a good actress is one who shines in every role and who stands out even in a bad movie solely due to her acting chops.

And I have not watched Sonam's movies, so cannot comment on her acting abilities or lack thereof.

Well I do adore Sonam, but I'd have to disagree with her here.....Kajol outdoes Rani easily in my books too....I think Sonam is unable to help her bias towards Rani given that she's worked closely with her in Black and Saawariya😆

Rani has done her fair share of variety too, but what Kajol brings to her performances is unparalleled....She lights up the screen in a way very very few actresses can.

The only actress, in her era, that can outdo Kajol's work , is ONLY Tabu, her Chandani Bar performance is simply unmatched by anyone! Unrivalled!

Sonam seems to have all of sudden got this urge of promoting Rani, instead its advised maybe she SHOULD try to establish herself as an atleast a competent actress, rather than make groundless statements in order to promote others! Im sure Rani is accomplished enough to promote herself, and when she needs to she will do!

Also watch out for MNIK, im sure she will produce something very very special!

I completely agree👏....I like Sonam a lot but some of her interviews sounds a lil arrogant & cocky.....I dont there was any need to compare Kajol with Rani & thus show show her affection towards Rani.....She cud've just praised Rani intead of dragging Kajol to it....If she is such a big admirer of Rani it wud be nice if she also take notice of the polite manner in which Rani gives her interviews.....

I like Rani but love Kajol & its completely untrue the later is an overrated & nt versatile...Kajol & Madhuri are 2 actresses who had the ability to rule bollywood with nt only their beauty but also talents....O second thoughts this reporter shud've asked Kareena about Kajol.....Kareena herself being a good & successfull actress never gets tired of praising Kajol..😳...She even rates Kajol higher than her sister in terms of acting....Kajol is such a gem of an actor & it hurts to see newbie of this industry making wrong comments on her!!!

Quite the contrary actually. I've seen the most lamest movies of these actresses and the ones they acted the best. And the only conclusion I can come up with is that they're all overrated.
