OMG. That is horrible. What a tragic situation! I remember one of my cousins in India used Fair and Lovely, and I warned about how harmful it was. But she did not believe me, and the girl is probably as fair as Anushka Sharma. It is troubling how this "fair I must be" goal is leading to this. Personally, I think both extremes are bad like the preppy girls in my high school, would go to the tanning salon twice a week. Asking for skin cancer anyone? Self image problems with young people, particularly young women is a problem. It would be nice if the fashion/entertainment industry would be mindful of that at times.

nimmi... how the light skinned girls want to become tanned and how the dark skinned girls want to become lighter. It's opposite situations and both causing damage to skin.
