I think SRK was over acting when he played Raj and I hated that. I loved all his other Raj-character, but not thi one. Whenever he said "hum hai rahi pyar ke phir milenge chalte chalte" I seriously wanted to punched him. I think if Raj was sweet and a little less hyper, I would have liked the movie more. I think SRK was overconfident that the must is going to be a blockbuster hit, so he didn't see any point in promoting the movie!!

IMO, Rab ne had a poor script. A better publicity wouldv got them slightly better collections, not better reviews. And even if Aamir did go all out, his film has still done much much better than Srk's previous superhits, Chak De and OSO which SRK promoted with all his might.

Why is it so hard for some SRK fans to believe tht Ghajini did better because it was perhaps a better film thn Rab ne?

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has emerged a huge hit in CP Berar after a slow start. The film is likely to emerge the third biggest earner in the circuit notwithstanding the likely business of Ghajini. The second week has seen record collections in the circuit of nearly 1.50 crore nett.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi will cross the business Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Dhoom 2 which are the biggest scorers for YRF Films till date in the circuit.

The film will be only behind Gadar and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun in terms of shares and the industry waits to see where Ghajini ends up in the circuit.

Last Friday, besides the Rajesh Khanna oddity Wafaa, no films were released, which augured well for Rab ne Bana di Jodi. The film which took a good opening, maintained steady collections during its first week. The second and third week collections have also been heartening.

Even at the moment RAB NE BANA DI JODI released, it just didn't have to face challenge from nationwide sentiments (post the terror attack) and lack of adequate promotion; it also had to contend with all the buzz surrounding GHAJINI. Frankly, every conversation around the Shah Rukh Khan starer invariably steered towards GHAJINI as well. The two movies were almost Siamese twins.

Still, RNBDJ successfully managed to up the ante for Shah Rukh Khan with the first week collections surpassing those of OM SHANTI OM. While the latter had made 40 crores at the end of Week 1, Adi-SRK combine did better with 41 crores. Now the second week collections of the film are out and they have been highly impressive once again. The fall in collections has been only 50% (some soothsayers were predicting - and even hoping - for a bigger fall, stating that the excellent opening weekend was fluke and only due to Shah Rukh Khan's star power), hence bringing in more than 20 crores (final number would be declared soon), even as Wednesday night and Thursday had GHAJINI written all over them.

Standing at more than 61 crores already, the film is on it's way to be a comfortable 70 crores earner at the least with 75 crores looking feasible as well. However, coming close to 86 crores final total of OM SHANTI OM is virtually impossible, what with GHAJINI being at the top of the wish list for many around.

Coming to the ROI factor, RAB NE BANA DI JODI is still the biggest success ever for Shah Rukh Khan. In fact not just OM SHANTI OM, the film is much bigger than SINGH IS KINNG, WELCOME, DHOOM 2 and GOLMAAL RETURNS, some of the films that have made mega bucks in the recent times. That's because each of these films had cost a lot more and were sold at much bigger prices.

Taking into consideration all the factors that were going against the release of RNBDJ, not to mention the very fact that it hasn't been designed as a quintessential blockbuster and is instead a small-n-simple film, such fabulous performance of RNBDJ is indeed heartening and manages to keep the flag flying high for Shah Rukh Khan. -Joginder Tuteja / Sampurn Media

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is excellent all over with 23.50 crore nett business in week two taking its two week total to 68 crore nett. The film is doing exceedingly well all over with areas like Delhi and Punjab being rock steady. The film is probably the biggest money spinner ever in terms of profits as Yashraj Films will make a profit in the 50 crore region on the film. BLOCKBUSTER

I don't understand why Ghajini fans thinking Rab ne did poor business or did average? Despite the release of Ghajini people still watching Rab ne. I think it was a great challenge for Rab ne team to become good hit, cuz at that time no one ready to go out.If ghajini was released on Dec 12 and became even a hit, media would had gone ga-ga over aamir and giving him this huge credit. But the truth is Rab is doing great business.
