SRK himself said they had stopped all promotions. If there had been promotions pre-release, the hype would've been bigger and the movie would've opened bigger.

With Ghajini, 26/11 didnt affect it at all as Amir was still anyway promoting it. Rab Ne's promotion was actually stopped after 26/11, which was a sensible move by YRF.

I don't think it could have done better.It is a small film about a husband and wife in a semi rural setting,which came at a time where the mood in the country was one of fear and anguish.No big film has seen such low publicity and promotions!

BOI has already declared RNBDJ as a blockbuster,his last 3 films CDI,OSO,RNBDJ are all BB.Fans need to be less greedy.It has broken several records in dozens of centers(read Film Information,or I can scan them).It also has set new records for 1st and 2nd week totals..

All to be broken by Ghajini

But then Ghajini can't be repeated even by Amir himself.His next film '3 idiots' doesn't have the content and novelty(haircut ,body,amnesia,action,revenge) for grand promotion or mass appeal.it will be interesting to watch the box office results .

What Amir did in promoting the film was new and exciting experience for the audience.The magic will not work again.I think even SrK realises that the OSO hype cant be recreated by him.

yeah im happy tat rab ne haz bcum a blokbuster ,,but still agree with topicsstarter tat if it was not 4 mumbai terror atakz it wud hav done even well,,itz still doin gud so no complaintz
