Buzz is that Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment is all set to make a chat show for NDTV. To be hosted by the famous designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, the show will have star wives talking about their lives, the pressures of being the better-half of a celebrity and more. The show has A-listers like Gauri Khan and Neeta Ambani sharing their views. One of the episodes was being canned at Mehboob studio with Neeta Ambani.

They're seen as often as their famous husbands, and they look better sometimes too!

Bollywood has been abuzz recently with rumours of a TV show that features B-town's 'first wives'. The news was that Shah Rukh Khan's production house would produce two talk shows hosted by Gauri Khan and Twinkle Khanna; other reports said that the show was to be called The First Wives Club, and Gauri would host it.

The latest, according to a source, is that the show is called The First Ladies, and it isn't Gauri who's hosting it, it but designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

"Five episodes have already been shot, featuring Gauri, Hrithik's wife Susanne, Farhan's wife Adhuna, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's wife Anupama and Manyata Dutt. The ladies are quite vocal; Manyata's given a very frank interview," says the source.

When contacted about the show, slated to be aired on a lifestyle channel, Sandeep Khosla said, "Yes, we're hosting a TV show, but I'm not allowed to say much about it."

She definitely has a super star at home. But that does not stop her from doing what she likes — that too in style. Gauri Khan is all set to produce her first television show.

A lifestyle-based show, this programme will be anchored by designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. "Work is not yet complete, but yes, Gauri is producing this show and has roped in the designers," says an industry source, adding, "The show will be based on fashion, interiors and everything that is synonymous with a 'good life'. It's called the Good Times Showcase. Gauri is a very fashion conscious lady and always turns up well groomed at events. She knows her Guccis from Pradas. This show is very much her 'kind'."

Another important factor is that the otherwise reticent star-wife will also be featuring in one of the episodes of the show. But what's even more striking is the fact that King Khan's production house has approached Abu and Sandeep. Considering that the duo is very close to the Bachchans and has also been the designer for the Abhiash wedding, this sure is a coup of sorts for the Khandaan!

Designer duo get up, close, personal on TV with celeb wives

New Delhi, Dec 26 (IANS) Fashion designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla are now finally set to make their television debut. And guess how? By hosting candid conversations with celebrity wives in "The First Ladies with Abu Sandeep"."For the first time we are hosting a television show and we wanted to be sure that it's a well-laid out format and presentation. This show is very close to our hearts. Not only are we anchoring it, but we have also designed the sets keeping the theme of the show in mind," said Khosla in a press release.

Earlier, there was a buzz that the reclusive pair was about to host the talk show in August, but the project was delayed.

From Bollywood celeb wives Jaya Bachchan, Gauri Khan, Suzanne Roshan, Manyatta Dutt, Adhuna Akhtar, Anupama Chopra, Tanya Deol, Kirron Kher to others like Maharani Padmini Devi, Nita Ambani, Neerja Birla and Usha Mittal - many will be seen on the show. They will talk about their private world and the challenges they face in being the wife of a successful man.

The celebrity husbands too will make an appearance on the show, which is being produced by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.

"The First Ladies with Abu Sandeep" will be aired on lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times from Jan 3. It will be telecast every Saturday at 10 p.m. and the first episode would have Nita Ambani as the guest.

This is not the first time that an Indian fashion designer has ventured into TV.

Manish Arora did a six-episode TV show called "Adventures of the Ladies Tailor" early this year for Discovery's lifestyle channel Travel and Living. His show gave viewers an insight into Arora's personal and social life apart from his quintessential style of designing.

this show is going to be flow, NDTV is not that much watched, unless SRK decides to come on the show everytime to promote it!

Ash cannot be on this show. First ladies are women married to men who are more successful as compared to the women. In the Abhi-Ash relationship she is the more successful and famous one. Nothing wrong in that but may be Abhi can star as a first hubby 😉
