I would like to comapre Anushka to Deepika only after she has done the kind of roles that Deepika has done so far... or when Deepika does a role which requires her to carry a film on her shoulders

Anushka had a very performance oriented role in RNBJ...so a fair comaprison would be, like someone said, between Anushka and Sonam...and Anushka there is definitely better...

I will now look forward to seeing Anushka as a modern glam girl and maybe Deepika as a simple girl next door with a lot of emoting...

I think Deepika's acting was far better in OSO than BAH...hopefully she will kick ass with CCTC( i sincerly hope she is not just a Kat replacement in an Akki fim!)

i would be the last person to object to your opinions, everyone is entitled to their own....and you shouldnt be hesitant of stating your opinion either because these arent personal attacks on anyone...and i think most people here are capable of exchanging opinions without making it a personal, atleast i am...

so...do state your opinion opposing mine if there is one 😃 and i do think rani is THE BEST ACTRESS! no actress of her generation is upto her calibre

These critics should have waited for Asin's Debut before declaring Anushka as best female debut!

BTW Just watched RNBDJ -- and honselty i agree with each and every single word written in all the reviews!!!She acts,emotes and dances so well..my eyes were just on her in DPC song!

As for comparision...hmm as some one said before..if you have to compare anuskha with someone then do it with Sonam..both are one film old..n no doubt anuksha scores......Deepika comes in a different league...Deepika has looks,charm,screen presence etc etc..and..deepika is not a newcomer anymore..she has done 3-4 films already.(

well best of luck to anuskha..hope we get to see alot of her movies in future...

Firstly, Anushka and Deepika are only being compared because they both made their debuts with SRK.

I watched RNBJ at the weekend, and i have to say the author of the article is right. Anushka is a better actress than Deepika, in regards to how she emotes and delivers dialogue - She fits the character of Tani really well. However, how much of a success she is will depend on her choice of films and roles in the future. Overall her debut and contribution to RNDJ is just as good as any of the other newcomers in Mohabbatein - and she reminds me a little of that Preeti girl. But as i said her success will depend on her future choices.

IMO Deepika and Katrina do fit the same category. They are both pretty girls, who have tons of glam factor, and are great for big commerical films - Out of these two, Katrina is slightly more stronger since she has been around longer and you can see the improvement in her emotions and dialogue delivery. Deepika on the other hand looks great on screen and can pull in the crowds with the glam but needs to concentrate on her voice modulation and her expressions.

In a few scenes of RNBJ, Anushka does look quite similar to Sonam but her dialogue delivery and screen presence is not as strong. Also Sonam has the advantage of having the ability to reinvent herself and fully takes on different looks/characters (you just need to look at her various photoshoots),whereas Anushka does look too simple with not enough spark.

Deepika may not have the best voice modulation and what not...but ppl she's a southie...she doesn't speak Hindi at home, she speaks Konkani...and talking from personal experience...I struggle in Hindi too eventhough..I was born and brought up in India...just cause I was educated in English language and at home I speak a completely different language. It happens..its difficult for us to get the perfect northie accent.

Now, u'll say that Anusha Sharma's from Bangalore too...YEs she is...but her first language is Hindi..she has that accent in her...she speaks that language every day and in that particualr desi accent..its easier for her as compared to Deepika. But if u guys ask me abt character versatility...Deepika can pull off more looks than Anushka...cuz Anushka has the podgy faced, simple looks...whereas, Deepika has displayed the girl next door or the glam look in OSO and BAH...so there u go..sit and compare as much as u like...but Deepika is here to stay...Anushka's more of TV serial material.
