Saw RNBDJ last night...and am still smiling...wow....ok it may just miss being in the same league as DDLJ but Adi Chopra is back and how...
The story is predictable but there is a magic in the screenplay...and the casting is perfect...first we have to talk about King Khan...People love SRK ( me included)...and they love everything he does...watching the reactions of the people in the theatre reminded me of the big B mania which swept the nation 3 decades ago...well I have to say in a way SRK has reached that place in the current times...and he deserves it for he practically carries the movie on his shoulders in what could qualify as a double role...he is adorable as the geek Surinder Sahni and you just cant help but fall in love with cheeky, over the top Raj...
there is Anushka...she debuts with YRF, opposite SRK and she has a role which doesnt just require her to sing and dance and look pretty...she has to act...and if she had failed to do that the movie would fall flat on its face...but she acts, emotes, has a great dialogue delivery cries, laughs and yes...looks pretty as well... she holds on her own against the King...l
and then there is Vinay Pathak...I had just watched his Dasvidaniya a couple of days ago and now this...wow...versitality at its best...he is just great as Bobby Khosla...Surinder Sahni's chaddi buddy...
Incidentally one of my favorite moments from the film is when the 2 friends dance to that 80''s number...teri rab ne bana di jodi...
The film has so many other nice moments..
- the first scene of Vinay pathak
- SRK and Anushka's conversation in the changing room
- The golgappa eating and the scene that follows at home
- the filmi song which has some surprises
- the climax...Anushka's expressions were priceless
- the song tujhme rab dikhta hai
- Surinder Sahni carrying the tiffin box packe d by his wife
- Raj talking to the mannequin
- Tani's motorcycle chase..dhoom style
and yes last but not the least...at the end please dont miss the credits rolling...that is the best part...
and now before I give any more spoilers let me end right here...
My rating 4/5😊

it's out? I thought it comes out X-mas so Ghajini comes out x-mas right?

I like the look of the film, where they were some scene that reminded me of OSO and deepika's Dhoom Tana when they were showing promo of RNBDJ. thanks for the review Ashu.

the only film I'm looking forward to is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I read the short story in 8th grade.

sorry went off topic.

Oh thanks for this Review..I m going to watch it this Sunday😳...I don't really believe in these critics..so a Audience verdict is more important for me😃...Now I know I hv not wasted my money by getting the ticket beforehand only😆😳
Between was just seeing some first reactions from the theatre in Delhi and Mumbai on Aaj Tak...The most surprising part is people r all praising Anouska more than King Khan😕...some girls were saying Anouska was the best in the film and the film is worth watching again and again because of her😳...
First time girls were praising someone else other than SRK and that too in SRK's own film..woww😆😆..This girl must b really good😃

2day i saw rab ne bana di jodi. The movie is good in parts n boring in parts.
SRK is as usual amazing as Surinder Sahni. He totally rocks in this character👏But i did not like his look as Raj. He was lookin like a comple wannabe there. Actually the intention was to look like a wannabee. n SRK was quite successfull in achievin that look too👏But that Raj character irrritated me. Surprisingly even Anushka is v good. she actually acts v well👏I was surprised. she can dance v well too.
On the whole it is a good watch for any SRK fan. The 1st half is quite funny n everybody will love surinder Sahni. He is sooooooo Cute!!😳
But 2nd half becomes little boring.
