One film old Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam Kapoor may be the hot favorite in Bollywood but she is is not a popular face in Hollywood. It came to know when she was totally ignored while walking hand in hand with Anil at the London Film Festival where the latter was invited to promote the film Slumdog Millionaire in which he made a guest appearance. A source says, "Anil was supposed to come with his wife but instead took his daughter Sonam. The reason behind this could have been to promote her to the outside world, outside of Bollywood."

Not only Sonam but Anil too has been sidelined by the media. No one approached them for interview or photographs. "None of the British press was interested in taking photos of Sonam or her father. To them they were unknowns and not news-worthy," said the source.

Both the father and the daughter felt left out. In Slumdog Millionaire, Anil Kapoor is playing a quiz show master thereby imitating Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan.
