I don't believe the AB - Rekha affair is still on, these days the Bachhan household is strongly run by Jaya.

Actually jaya had refused to do the movie, but Amitabh convinced her to come out of retirement to do the movie. I think Mr. B was a terrible husband. he cheated on his wife, he expected her to not make a fuss and take him back each time. jaya did all that and more. She must've been discontented though and that is showing on her face now

the MAIN culprit in this WHOLE thing is AMITABH, no one can snatch someone's husband or make them have affair. Rekha is not the one who had any obligation towards Jaya or Amitabh's married life. Ya she was wrong in getting in this kind of relationship, but Amitabh was so much more at falut for not only cheating on his wife but also cheating on his children and family.

Personally, i don't sympathize with Jaya at all..caz she decided to stick arond this man for sake of kids. That's complete BS in my views...! Once a cheater is always a Cheater. ya people have to make all kind of compromises in married life, but it shouldn't be at the cost of one's dignity and existence. As for kids, i personally would never want to set this kind of example for them. I would never want them to think that it's ok for thier sposes to cheat on them. Cheating hurts, if one thinks marriage is not working out then they should right fully seek a divorce before starting any thing new.

Everyone has right to be happy, and just for kids, family or any other social norms....no one should have to make compromise.

all other compromises in marriage are acceptable, but cheating is def NOT. Amitabh would never accept Jaya doing the same thing to him, now would he?

i don't think we are always either blaming Jaya or Rekha.. of course, main culprit would be Amitabh..

my point is your perspective changes a lot after marriage.. and again, depends from woman to woman..

yes, first of all to be blamed would be Amitabh.. but then Rekha is no saint, either.. she is the second one to be blamed.. she knew he was married and still got into the relationship.. taali ek haath se nahin bajti.. so yes, more blame is on Amit than Rekha..

but now, when he is trying to lead his own life, Rekha should not interfere..

second point.. what Jaya did takes a very brave and strong woman to do that.. as we are all seeing, hardly anyone has sympthay for Jaya, even though she probably got the worst of the deal.. yes, she accepted a husband who cheated on her for the sake of her kids and her marriage.. why is that such a wrong thing now.. and just because you forgive them, that doesn't set an example that yes, this is okay.. now a lot of examples are coming to mind involving more celebs, but i don't think it'd be a good idea to discuss that here.. my point is that people do a lot of wrong things and they are even forgiven for it, so does that make it okay.. why does cheating only make a bigger deal.. is it okay to take a life, so many stars i read about go hunting etc., are fined and people come back and forgive them..? so that's okay..?? why does cheating take such a bigger issue.. is killing okay now..? is that not setting a bad example..

anyways, point that i was trying to make is that yes, she forgave him and took him back.. but that doesn't mean that she set a bad example.. more likely, their kids will learn never to repeat this behaviour as they have seen the hurt that this causes..

it's a famous saying that it's always easier to break relationships than to make them.. yes, it hurts but if you want something to work, it will work.. if you don't, well, the divorce rate is going up as it is...
