Bollywood hubbies fail to make the cut
It all came to surface when Bhagyashree married Himalaya, and insisted that all her movies be opposite him. Huh! Does that even make sense? And well, Himalaya couldn't have been happier.
After all with that hulky, ghaati frame of his, he could never ever hope to be hero, let alone villain. So he decided to put his wife's career on the line and jumped straight in. But just like Bhagyashree, who never came out of that village belle persona, Himalaya was also completely unaware of a thing called style.
In fact, he looks more like a gutka empire businessman. Well, their journey didn't last too long, and soon after, Bhagyashree and Himalaya disappeared.
Farah Khan and Shirish also seem to be a weird pairing. He has longer hair then her, doesn't he? In fact I think he looks like the wife, and she the husband.
I remember reading somewhere about him getting drunk on the OSO premiere. Well, I guess you do get jealous of a successful wife, don't you? But anyway, his style sense leaves everything to be desired, though that doesn't mean Farah is a style icon.
Both husband and wife are dowdy and unkempt. And whenever they stand close to one another for pictures, I have to control my urge to throw up. Not a pretty sight with both of them matching cleavage for cleavage.
One pairing that I never quite understood was Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. It happened out of the blue, and I think the whole nation was reminded of the fairytale, Beauty And The Beast. Boney could be the last man any woman will find attractive. But nevertheless our kaate nahin kat te hottie decided to get married to this already married man.
Maybe he's a great talker, but who cares. His oversized suits to suit his oversized frame are pitiable. He looks like a well fed stockbroker! But we guess Sridevi is happy, because she just looks better with each passing day.
The mast girl, Raveena Tandon packed her suitcases in Lokhandwala and moved to become Mrs Anil Thadani. The nerdy looking chap left first wife to warm up to Ravs.
He doesn't hurt with his fashion sense although I wish he didn't have to color co-ordinate so much with wifey before they stepped out in public.
He's like the geek husband who got his engineering degrees in some fancy phoren university, fooled all of them at work most of the time, made pots of money, dumped first wife from arranged marriage for glamour wife and will do anything to be her pet.
Then there is the good looking suave, stylish husband ---Karisma Kapoor's husband Sanjay. Though there were rumours that he was beating her up and all that jazz, they seem to have reconciled and got back together. Well, good for them.
Both of them make quite a pretty picture, she is her designer dresses and sarees, and he in his designer suits. He looks like the perfect gentleman. But how do we know what happens behind closed doors.
Which leaves me to ponder about a certain Doctor Nene. Do we want to pay Mr Madhuri Dixit a visit...na na Nene!
