Kareena Kapoor adds sparkle to the KBC finale tonight.

Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra will be adding glitz and glamour to the KBC finale this evening. Both actresses, who are dear friends of Shah Rukh, were more than happy to help SRK close this season of KBC.

Kareena took time out on the KBC sets to speak to us about the show. "I have seen quite a few episodes and I love Shah Rukh on it. I think he is absolutely wonderful and I can't see anyone else in his shoes. I think he has done a great job. He has made the show into something that really touches your heart. He has reached out to everybody, to every family in India. He makes it emotional, he makes it heart warming and I think just being on the Hot Seat with SRK is a high for everybody because he's really King Khan. I mean I don't think anybody else can take that magnetic personality's place," says the actress who is a self confessed ardent fan of SRK.

Bebo, as she is fondly called, adds that she plans to donate all her winnings from tonight to two charities that are very close to her. "I'm donating my money to St. Anthony's Old Age Home and Mount Mary Orphanage in Bandra. I've always wanted to support old people and I've always felt that so many of them are coming towards the end of their lives and their dear ones have dispersed into their respective lives. So whatever little joy I can bring them or make a difference in their lives will make me very happy."

Kareena says she hopes she can answer all the questions so that she can win big for her charities. "Well I've watched so much of KBC all along that I hope I get questions from the episodes that I have seen. I'm just going to use whatever I've learned and a lot of my brains, a lot of guesses and a whole lot of good luck."

Ash-Abhi dance to Kareena's number

Choreographer Karan Johar chose Bebo's item song 'It's Rocking' for the sangeet finale

Dance with me: Ash-Abhi
Karan Johar made sure that Kareena Kapoor's presence was felt at the Ash-Abhi sangeet ceremony. Karan, who choreographed the show, planned a special grand finale where Aishwarya and Abhishek danced to the tunes of Kareena's latest item number 'It's Rocking' from Kya Love Story Hai.

"Karan liked the track so much that he wanted to use it as the grand finale track for the sangeet. The track, composed by Pritam, has already become very popular and Karan wanted to end the sangeet on a high note," says our source.

The performance at the sangeet ceremony was conceptualised by Karan. All the songs and dance steps were selected by him and close buddies of Abhishek. "Karan was slightly sceptical before using this particular track. But the Bachchans didn't seem to mind and did a little jig to the number," reveals our source.

City girl bags role in Bollywood flick starring Kareena, Shahid

Anupam Bhagria

Ludhiana, April 6: Zoya, a seven-year-old student of Sacred Heart Convent Senior School, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, is busy shooting for a Bollywood film these days.

And she is sharing screenspace with none other than the industry biggies, Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. While the film is being directed by Imtiyoz, its name is yet to be announced.

Zoya, who has just returned from the shooting that is under way in Nabha, excitedly said, "My role in the film is that of Kareena's cousin." The shooting for the film started on April 1 at 'Kake Ji Di Haweli' in Nabha, and will continue till April 20.

"After that, I will join the shooting whenever and wherever I am asked to," said Zoya. Her mother Sonia Verma is a dance teacher at Sacred Heart School.

She said that Zoya has always been a talented child. "She is very good in dance and has worked in three advertisements also," said Sonia.

Zoya bagged the role through her uncle Soman Kutti, who is the husband of Sonia's sister. Kutti has an advertising agency in Delhi, and got the ad contracts for Zoya too. The little one has advertised for Salasar Mega Store, MSM School Mart, and for an international brand of skin cream for children. The advertisements have been pasted on huge hoardings in various cities, including Chandigarh.

"The assistant director of the film saw one of these hoardings at Chandigarh and contacted us about 15 days ago. We met the film director Imtiyoz, and to our wonder Zoya was selected without any screen test," said Vikas Verma, Zoya's father.

Verma, a car financier in the city, said, "She has a good role, and will also be present in two songs in the film," he said.

The other actors in the film include Dara Singh and Kiran Juneja. "I want to be a theatre artist," smiles Zoya, who is fond of playing badminton and watching Cartoon Network.

"My favourite actors are Shahrukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor," she chirps.

Her elder sister Pearl, who is in Class IV, has been promised a role in the next film by the director, said Sonia.

"Pearl, too, has advertised for a school uniform. She is now preparing for the 'Best child competition' to be held in the city," added Sonia

------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------
By Abid , Bollywood Trade News Network

Download TARA RUM PUM Wallpapers

Now that Saif Ali Khan has fully recovered from his illness, the actor has started shooting once again. His first assignment being the promo of Yash Raj's April 27 release, TA RA RUM PUM.

As per our industry sources, after completing the 40-day Dubai schedule(last) of Abbas-Mustan's multistarrer RACE, the actor will start shooting for Yash Raj's TASHAN.

What is interesting to note is that TASHAN will once again bring together one of 90s most successful male duo, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. The two had a spate of successes, the biggest being Yash Raj's very own YEH DILLAGI and Sameer Malkan's MAIN KHILADI TU ANARI.

While on TASHAN, it will be Yash Raj's first release of 2008 and mark the return of 'khiladi' Akshay Kumar to action.

Kareena is back with Yashraj

By Our Correspondent 2007 Bollyvista.com

Kareena Kapoor
Kareena Kapoor, who hasn't signed any new film from last one year, is back in Yashraj camp.

Her last film with them was 'Mujhse Dosti Karoge' almost 5-6 years back.

Her comeback film for Yashraj will be directed by debutant Victor, who had written Dhoom-2 for Yashraj. The film will also have Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in it.

Surely a film to watch out for!

don't grudge Bebo her one song'

Rajiv Vijayakar
Posted online: Friday, April 20, 2007 at 1028 hours IST

April 20: Yes to romance, no to kisses. That's Ayesha Takia for you.

As in Dor, are you playing a serious role in Kya Love Story Hai (KLSH)?

I play an independent girl, who is ambitious, who wants to work for her family and be a success for them. KLSH is really an out-and-out love story. And the character is very me. So romance comes easy to her! People don't want you to do the same type of role every time. It is good to balance the light with the serious.

Kareena Kapoor has a rocking item song in the movie. Does that make you insecure?

Now that's ridiculous. As a leading lady of the film, it would be very childish of me to grudge Kareena her one song. Especially, when I never do item songs myself.

Why is that?

Most of them involve a lot of skin show. If I get a decent item number, I might change my mind.

You have done a lot of films with other women actors, when it is generally believed that women in the industry don't get along. So, who is your favourite female co-star?

I got along with all of them but my favourite would be Soha Ali Khan, who's truly sweet, and Rimi. That girl is hilarious. She's great fun!

You stood out in Salaam-e-Ishq in the midst of a huge cast. Do the presence of other stars like Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan and Ishaa Koppikar spur you on?

I never look at my work that way. I just want to do my best. That is enough to get me noticed. I am, in any case, not in any race to be the number one or number two actress.

And how do you get along with your male co-stars?

I had a great relationship with all, except one. I won't give him importance by naming him. But I do hate that guy.

You shot for 40 days at Cape Town for KLSH. Didn't you miss your beau Farhan?

You bet I did! That is why my favourite song in the film is Jeena kya tere bina. It reflected my feelings during the schedule, and the unit really ribbed me about it. Apart from that, of course, I had a blast doing the film.

When are you working again with your first directors Imtiaz Ali and Abbas-Mustan or even Nagesh Kukunoor?

You will have to ask Ali and Abbas-Mastan that. But Nagesh is a dear friend. He was upset when I turned down Aashayein but he understood. The role was awesome but it involved doing things that, as a matter of policy, I will never do.

One thing's for sure, whoever does the role is lucky.

But couldn't he have managed the kissing shots — which is what you mean — with computer graphics?

(Laughs) Yeah, I asked him to cheat, but he said "No! I don't do such things."

You have a limited but interesting line-up of films ahead.

Yes. In Sunday (with Ajay Devgan) I have a fun role because I play a dubbing artiste for cartoon films and get to speak in different voices. I have a dual role in No Smoking — I play John Abraham's wife as well as secretary. Since my director Anurag Kashyap is mad and weird, so is his film — you will never see anything like it in Hindi cinema. In Fool And Final, you just enjoy a complete masala film. E.Niwas's De Taali is a story of friendship with a twist. Aftab, Riteish Deshmukh and Rimi are my co-stars. Finally, there is the short film on AIDS awareness that Vishal Bhardwaj signed me for after watching Dor. It is called Blood Brother. It's a beautiful, positive film and my co-star is Siddharth.

Post Raj Kapoor's SANGAM, the concept of love triangles have been cycled and recycled over the decades. Debutante director Lovely Singh borrows everything from the shelf and comes up with a fare that has nothing new to say.

Most importantly, if the title happens to be KYA LOVE STORY HAI, there has to be something in this love story to make you jump with joy and also feel that the title was justified. Sadly, that's not the case here!

Two guys love the same girl, add a dash of heart-burn, throw a few comic scenes and plug five/six song and voila, the recipe for a love story is ready. Films like KYA LOVE STORY HAI worked in the 1970s and 1980s, but in today's context, it's completely out of sync.

In a nutshell, KYA LOVE STORY HAI is as obsolete and outdated as last year's newspapers.

KYA LOVE STORY HAI is the story of a carefree and wayward youth, Arjun [Tusshar Kapoor], who experiences love-at-first-sight with Kaajal [Ayesha Takia]. It isn't a typical situation -- he follows her for some time before succeeding in breaking the ice.

For Kaajal, Arjun is a mere acquaintance, but the latter is in love with her and afraid of conveying his feelings. On befriending her, he learns that she lost her mother years back and that her father was busy traveling abroad on business.

A situation arises when Kaajal comes across a letter that Arjun has written for the girl he loves, but she doesn't know to whom he is referring. Arjun deliberately asks her how she would reciprocate his love if she were the girl he was in love with? Kaajal's reply leaves Arjun self-introspecting, making him mysteriously disappear from the scene.

In the meantime, a successful and snooty entrepreneur Ranveer [Karan Hukku] meets Kaajal. Following some heated verbal scuffles with her, he concludes that she would make for an appropriate life-partner because she was a stabilizing influence and kept him mellow.

When Arjun returns to South Africa, during an astonishingly coincidental encounter, he finds Kaajal engaged to the entrepreneur. Destiny has entangled three hearts, but who will emerge victorious?

The problem with KYA LOVE STORY HAI clearly lies in its script. You don't have to be a Nostradamus to predict what's in store next. You actually look for some novel sequence/incident in the narrative, but there's none. Sure, a few sequences are well executed, like the sport on the beach, but the unwanted songs coupled with the cheesy comic track involving Tusshar's sex-maniac friends act as spoilsport.

From the writing point of view, the conflict between the three people is handled in the most routine manner. The viewer knows what twists and turns will follow next since there's no originality whatsoever.

Lovely Singh's direction is mediocre, but the culprit is the screenplay. A thin storyline has been stretched needlessly for no reason. Lovely knows the technicalities right, but one hopes he opts for innovative stuff in his future endeavors.

Pritam's music is a major asset. The Kareena Kapoor track ['It's Rocking'; the film begins with this stylish song] is the best track. The other songs are tuneful as well. Only thing, the placement of songs is a problem. Rajeev Shrivastava's cinematography is attention-grabbing. The stunning locales of Cape Town give the film a glossy look. Dialogues [Niranjan Iyengar] sound natural.

Tusshar's role is akin to the one he portrayed in his debut film MUJHE KUCHH KEHNA HAI. He loves the girl, but can't express his feelings. Despite saddled with a role he has visited in the past, it must be noted that Tusshar is quite likable in his part. The honesty that this character demands is writ large on Tusshar's face and expressions.

Ayesha Takia handles her role with admirable ease. Her infectious smile enlivens the scene. Although the part doesn't demand histrionics, she pitches in a commendable performance. Newcomer Karan Hukku has strong screen presence and carries himself well, but he looks stiff in a few scenes. Also, he needs to work on his dialogue delivery, especially during romantic scenes.

Sujata Kumar [Karan Hukku's mom in the film] is effective. Tusshar's two friends irritate. Kareena Kapoor looks gorgeous in the opening track.

On the whole, KYA LOVE STORY HAI stands on a shaky foundation [poor script] and that is its biggest weakness. Disappointing!

I always knew 'It's Rocking' will rock" - Pritam

------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------
By Joginder Tuteja, Bollywood Trade News Network

Pritam is elated with the consistent success/appreciation he has been receiving ever since the beginning of 2007.

Download KYA LOVE STORY HAI Wallpapers

While his score of LIFE IN A...METRO is ruling the charts, the impetus gained by 'It's Rocking' has enabled KYA LOVE STORY HAI to come into news and see a rise in it's stock. This has happened at just the right time since the film releases this Friday and is riding high on the power of this rhythmic item number picturised on Kareena Kapoor.

Says Pritam confidently, 'I always knew 'It's Rocking' would rock. Ever since Alisha Chinoy rendered the number, the picture became quite clear that we had a winner in hands.'

Some superb choreography helped too, isn't it? 'Absolutely', he says without a pause, 'Add to that Kareena's presence. Choreography coupled with her moves took 'It's Rocking' to such a high that it was inevitable for viewers to lap it up with both hands. The sound has worked and I am happy for the entire team to have delivered a dance-hit!'

Erich Segal's Love Story, the best selling novel of the 1970's, is a tear-jerking tragedy. KYA LOVE STORY HAI, the title has so much to say but actually fails to do justice. The theme of the story actually just takes us way back to 1964, but nothing to offer as the triangle love story then did. "Yeh Mera Prem Patra Padh Kar, Ke Tum Naaraaz Na Hona" but Lovely Singh sahib, you just arouse anger in us by directing such old fashioned movie.

KYA LOVE STORY HAI, directed by Lovely Singh, is a mixture of too many genres. Friendship, Love, Dreams, Passion, a few comic scenes, and an unbalanced blend of all this is what the story is all about. It's just another triangle love story, which doesn't go hand in hand with the life of the contemporary world. It's a spoilt soup.

Arjun [Tusshar Kapoor], a modish, unruly and happy-go-lucky youth, walking about in the busy streets of South Africa thinking over his friends words that "he'll never understand the pain of loosing love unless he experience love", suddenly catches sight of Kaajal [Ayesha Takia], and there happens love-at-first sight.

Kaajal, a vivacious and dogged girl, considers Arjun as a Friend. Once she comes across a love letter written by Arjun to an undisclosed girl and when asked by Arjun how she would reciprocate to this letter, gives a ruffling reply. This reply with its mysterious spell makes Arjun disappear from the scene.

Meanwhile Kaajal meets the guy of her dream, Ranveer [Karan Hukku]; both get acquainted to each other after some heated verbal wrestle. Ranveer, mama's boy, concludes that she would make for an appropriate life-partner because she was a stimulus and kept his life happening.

When Arjun returns to South Africa, during an astonishingly fluky encounter, he finds Kaajal engaged to the entrepreneur. He wanted to surprise Kaajal, but found himself in a rather bewildering situation. Who will be Kaajal's MR? Whose princess will she be?

Direction: Lovely Singh's direction is run of the mill kind, just average. He has the ability and mind, this old fashioned route is not the right choice. The theme has been stressed too hard which was just pointless and makes the story line appear even worse. Lovely, the movie is not as lovely as your name.

Acting: Tusshar gives just another disappointing performance. The role demands more of expression and sensitivity, which is not present anywhere through out the movie.

Ayesha Takia, it's just a smooth walk on a cake. She carries her role with ease and perfection.

Karan Hukku, new on big screen, has made a good start. His physical appearance suits the character best and he has delivered a fairly good performance. He needs to work on his expression to leave a better impact.

Overall:
Positives: Opening track by Kareena and Ayesha's smile and bubbling acting.

Negatives: Story line dragged too much and made hard to digest. Tusshar's two friends, trying to add comic elements to the movie, are irritating.

Kya Love Story Hai, demands for patience and a strong mind to hold on to seats till end. It's just a sheer waste of time and money.
