In a recent interview to HiTLIST, Shah Rukh Khan had hinted that he was planning a big coup on Kaun Banega Crorepati 3.

Now, we've discovered SRK's big secret. SRK has roped in Salman Khan and girlfriend Katrina Kaif for a special episode of KBC3, which will air in April.

The episode has already been filmed and Salman and Kat have won Rs 50 lakh, which they will donate to the Salman Khan Foundation.

Says the source, "Salman has applied to register the foundation, which will help the poor and needy."

The special episode will be aired on Star Plus on April 19. When contacted, Katrina was hesitant, saying, "I can't comment on how much we won and which organisation we have donated the money to. You will have to ask Salman or Shah Rukh about that."

Pehli baar

A source from the channel says, "It's one of those rare events. Salman and Shah Rukh have come together for the first time in the history of Indian TV. The special episode will also feature Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor.

It has been reported that they are professional rivals, but going by the friendly banter between them on the KBC sets, one would never have guessed. It was a very warm and friendly atmosphere."

Salim Khan on the SKF

Salim Khan says that they are in the process of setting up the Salman Khan Foundation.

"We are getting the legalities formalised. It's a foundation that will take up the cause of needy and deserving people in society, people who want to do something but don't have the means.

The SKF will give them financial backing and will also provide money for important things like heart surgeries and other medical emergencies."

No Khan For Karan Yet

Karan Johar yet to obtain 'Khan'! Of course there is a lot of curiosity and interest about Karan Johar's next directorial venture following Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.

Here is what is known:

Shah Rukh Khan (who will of course play the lead role) had to dash off to Dubai for a day last week (22nd March)to be an honoured guest, taking his dearest friend Karan Johar with him, certainly discussing the upcoming Khan.

Well, speaking of Khan, Karan Johar has yet to be able to obtain the title for his coming venture as yet. In additon, there is media speculation that Karan is trying to convince Kajol to play the female lead opposite King Khan.

"...I find myself much closer to reality now" - SRK

New Delhi: Princy Jain of Hindustan Times recently had the pleasure of interviewing SRK in a candid ten-minute conversation over the phone.

The KBC experience Was great fun. I know it sounds cliched, but that's the truth. Professionally it has been very smooth. I didn't even realise that the first season had come to an end. Of course, it's been tiring, but that's the difference between film and television. The show is based on a set format. So the biggest challenge is to innovate daily within the format.

Role Reversal Besides getting the money and the answers right, the person on the hot seat has one other thing on his mind. He says to himself, "I don't want to make a fool of myself." When I came as a contestant, I was conscious of the same. Also, I was very curious about how it all works. Now, as a host I know it all.

But I'm sure, if I come as a guest once again, I will still be bothered about not making a fool of myself.

Us and them It is strange, but I find myself much closer to reality now. From sunup to sunset my day is spent in fulfilling creative dreams. No matter how much I have always maintained and spoken about my middle class upbringing, somewhere the touch with the reality was waning.

Being in the arclights for years, everything is larger than life for me. From the films to the roles, to the hoardings on the road, everything is getting bigger by the day. As the host of KBC, I met normal people and realised what it's like to live a life, where means are an end in themselves. And some values unchanging. For instance, no matter how big or small a person, everyone loves their children to death, everyone has a lucky day, everyone believes in God...

Madame Tussauds Yes. It feels awesome as one would feel after winning two crores. It is momentous since it reflects the significance and reach of the Indian entertainment industry. On a personal note, had this happened six years back, it would have been the ultimate achievement for me. But today, after having come closer to reality, it has been humbling for me, which makes it special.

Shah Rukh's KBC is a fraud?
The Delhi High Court Friday directed the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission (MRTPC) to probe allegations of malpractices by producers of the popular "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC) game show on Star TV.

A division bench of Justices Vikramajit Sen and J.P. Singh said: "Keeping in view the contentions of the parties, importance and gravity of the allegations and larger interest of the general public, we deem it fit that the matter be referred to and investigated by the MRTPC, particularly its finances, chances of winning, element of allurement, misrepresentation, fraud and other related allegations."

The court directed petitioner Anuj Kumar Bhati and the respondents - producer of KBC, Star TV and the information and broadcasting ministry - to appear before the MRTPC on May 8 for further hearing.

Bhati, in a petition, alleged that Star TV and the producer of KBC have duped the participants of millions of rupees and were indulging in foul play by selecting their own people to win cash at the show.

It said that some show advertisements like "Rs.2 crore is just a telephone call away" were so alluring that entire families were doing nothing but trying to reach the so-called "hot seat" of the show, said the petition.

Citing examples, Advocate A. Guneshwar for the petitioner said India TV news channel on June 26, 2006, Pioneer and Hindustan newspapers subsequently had highlighted the bungling in the media.

Star TV and the producers of the show had allegedly allowed their employees and associates to participate in the show violating their own rules, alleged Bhati.

Fixing prima facie responsibility on the respondents, the judges said: "The Star TV and producer have given some evasive replies to the allegations labelled by India TV and newspapers."

Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan is all set to officially step into Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London on April 3, where his statue will take its place alongside some of the world's most popular personalities.

Besides the official unveiling of the statue, a book on SRK — Still Reading Khan by Mushtaq Shaikh, will be introduced to the Tussauds library. The book, which weighs four kilos, and a 50-minute film chronicling the life of SRK right from his childhood to his superstar days, will be shown to hordes of fans who are flying down to be there on the occasion.

SRK and wife Gauri will go to London from Malaysia after attending an award ceremony. "This is the first time that a proper coffee table book is being put up there. As the writer of Still Reading Shah Rukh Khan, I can't have asked for more," said Shaikh.

Tussauds has changed the characteristic Shah Rukh Khan pose for the statue with both hands up and open. It is being replaced with one whose arms are folded.

"We have our differences, but who doesn't? Deep inside we have love for each other. He's a superstar and I smile at it. I treat him like a kid. He tells me, "Abhi mein itna bada bangaya abhi to mujhe bada man lijiye" (I've become so big now, at least consider me big now!) and I laugh and say, 'You're the same naughty Shah Rukh for me as you were in 'Pardes'. He is an intelligent actor, I am happy for him!"

Heyy Babyy kya item hai Shah Rukh Khan!

He's always been a success regarding item songs and Shahrukh is doing yet another item song for friend Sajid Khan's Heyy Babyy. The song is composed by the successful trio of Shanker, Ehsaan and Loy. The movie actually stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh in the lead roles.

Shah Rukh says Chak De India with YRF

It is cricket week with World Cup in full-swing. But I too have a special sports story to reveal. Not about cricket but an aspiring Indian Hockey Women's Team which will be coached by non other than our King Khan! I am talking about Yash Raj's August release and probably SRK's much awaited movie this year- Chak De India.

The Santro girl (who came with Shahrukh in the ad- 'Santro Waleen Hai Na') Vidya Malvade leads the team Hockey in the movie which is directed by Shimit Amin (Ab Tak Chappan director). It is heard that Shahrukh had dates problems initially when this project was offered to him by Aditya Copra but it came back to him as no one fitted in the role as perfectly as SRK does. So it was put on hold till Shahrukh had dates. Now that's when you say "Film Film Par Likha Hai Act Karnewale Ka Naam". Well Chak De's story is as follows:

The story revolves around a hockey coach for a girl's team and a young Sikh girl who wants to join the hockey team but does not get the approval of her parents. Shahrukh, a not-so-happy-go-lucky Coach, who works hard to achieve his aim that is to see the Indian tri-colored flag hoisted with all the other countries' flags. I wonder Shahrukh always has to be very serious while playing a character whose career is in sports (remember the frustrated SRK in KANK). Anyway, he is a strict trainer in the movie. His team goes on to face many problems as they come to Australia for the Women's World Cup.

Chak De is about dignity and respect. It sure promises an emotional sports deal and a strong script (But somewhere I can smell Bend It Like Beckham- But sure I am eager to see Shahrukh play the Coach)! Download the Yash Raj Films Calendar on our website.

Big B and King Khan in one frame

How would it be to see Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan sharing a frame together after the feud between them? Well curious…aren't you? It is true, both Mr Bachchan and the King Khan will do a guest appearance in the next Yash Raj feature "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom".

That will just be a tip the real magic of Shahrukh and YRF will unfold with Chak De India which will release on the 10th of August. Till then wait for the Abhishek, Lara, Bobby and Preity starer "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom" which releases on the 15th of June.
