SRK is working out get in shape

Shah Rukh Khan is presently working out to get in shape for Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om. We are told the actor owns an amazingly popular fitness machine called the Power Plate

A source close to the actor reveals, "As soon as Shah Rukh realised Power Plate was one of the most popular workout machines in the world right now, he placed an order and got it delivered from abroad."

We are informed that SRK works out on the Power Plate every time he trains with his personal trainer Prashant who confirms,"Yes, Shah Rukh owns the machine and loves working out on it. In fact, it has been quite helpful in giving him that chiselled look that we are trying to work out for Om Shanti Om."

Power Plate is a huge hit with A-list celebrities like Madonna, abroad, adds Prashant. "The best thing about the plate is that it uses the principles of body vibrations to enhance fitness and well being," Prashant says.

Prashant is thrilled to work with Khan and calls him a real hard-worker. "It's amazing to see the amount of energy and time he spends on preparing himself for a role."

Power Plate is one of the most expensive workout gadgets, costing anywhere between Rs 2-3 lakh. the device has yet to be launched officially in the country, but there are a few exclusive clients that own it.

Shah Rukh's gift to Ghai!

We all know that Shah Rukh loves his friends. But he simply seems to adore Subhash Ghai. The actor made a surprise visit to the filmmaker's school, recently, and surprised him with a gift – a state-of-the-art mobile set. When we called up Ghai, he told us, "Shah Rukh is always full of surprises. He himself loves gadgets, and knows that I fancy them, too, and presented me with the latest mobile set." Now that must've been one helluva pleasant surprise, we're sure!

NO TIME OUT HERE: Priyanka and her Tag clad wrist shared camera space in the Capital.

New Delhi: Actress Priyanka Chopra has a new job. No, she is not leaving films, she has just joined actor Shah Rukh Khan as the female brand ambassador of Tag Heuer.

While in the Capital, Priyanka showed off her girlie side in a soft white dress as she and her Tag clad wrist shared camera space.

And as she sat down for a little chat, she began with the obvious.

"There are so many luminaries who are attached to Tag Heuer. It gives me immense pride to be a part of this league," Priyanka said.

But coming to everyone's current favourite topic, who gets her vote as the hottest cricketer?

"I have always liked Rahul Dravid a lot and I think he has led our team really well," Priyanka gushed.

And finally, the lady also had a message for the Indian cricket team.

"We always put too much pressure on them. They are in great form right now and played well in the warm-up matches. So I am sure they will do well there. The only message I have for them is 'do your best and we are very proud of you'," Priyanka said.

Now, coming back to the watches, if you think your taste matches Priyanka's be ready to shell out over Rs 1.5 lakh.

Is it Saif?

Has Kunal Kohli signed Saif Ali Khan for his production debut? That's the buzz in the industry. Earlier, it was said that Kunal had approached SRK, Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan separately for his new film. But he seems to have settled for Saif, the lead man of his HUM TUM.

"I know why you've called," Kunal bursts out laughing, "Please don't believe it. It's too early to talk about the casting. I am not even through with the script and people have already begun speculating."

It's not hearsay. Sources say he even met Saif recently. "Oh yes, I did meet Saif. He's a friend and I will continue to meet him. The equations are completely different. But everything is misinterpreted here. Initially it was SRK, then Salman, its Saif now. Who's next?" he jokes.

However, the one thing that Kunal has finalized is the name of his production outfit -- Kunal Kohli Productions.

Now SRK to play a superhero!not SA

After Hrithik Roshan, it's now Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan to play a superhero in choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan's next 'Om Shanti Om'.

The film set in Bollywood, will feature SRK as a superhero for a part only. As per latest, Shah Rukh has already started working out vigorously on regular basis and following a healthy diet to get into the character's skin.

Source says SRK has hired an expert called Prashant for that. Prashant directs SRK in weight training at least four times a week.

In the film, SRK will star opposite debutant Deepika Padukone.

Shah Rukh gave a pleasant surprise to Subhash Ghai!

Shah Rukh Khan gave a pleasant surprise to filmmaker Subhash Ghai recently by visiting his film institute Whistling Woods International in Film City without any previous notice. Source says, Shah Rukh was shooting for KBC 3 nearby, and while returning to his home he decided to drop by. "He is like family to me and a great supporter of WWL. It was a very sweet gesture, but then only Shah Rukh can give such surprises," said Ghai.

Reportedly Shah Rukh gifted a latest hi-tech VNO mobile handset to Ghai.

SRK's mundu matters

After that endearing thinking cap gimmick, KBC 3 host Shah Rukh Khan is now going a step further (or should we say South?).

In tonight's episode, he will ditch his formal suit and tie for a traditional mundu (lungi) and surprise Sanjaya K, the rollover contestant from Kerala.

What's more, he's going to introduce the show in typical Keralite ishtyle, and will even present Sanjaya with a cricket bat signed by the members of our cricket team.

Sweet. But this KBC 3 host is turning out to be quite the clown, isn't he? Mind it!

ome badshahs (kings) have their badshahats (empires) placed in the their lap. Some badshahs have their badshahats thrust upon them. Some badshahs grab their badshahat by fighting their way, fighting even against their own family and in some cases even their own fathers. But Badshah Shah Rukh Khan has his own way to win his badshahat. He won it by the merit of his own talent, his will to fight a war against himself to emerge as a greater badshah with every war he fought and keep growing and spreading his empire all around the world. Shah Rukh started his reign as an actor in theatre in New Delhi and conquered Delhi and all the surrounding areas. He then played major roles in Fauji and Circus, two of the very early serials which were good and in which he was very good and was naturally noticed by all lovers of talent. He was called to Bombay and even signed films like Dil Aashna Hai directed by Hema Malini and Deewana directed by Raj Kanwar and was seriously negotiating tempting offers with some major filmmakers.

It was at this crucial time that Dinesh Lakhanpal, one of his old theatre friends thought of making a short film based on Easter, the Christian's celebration of the rising of Jesus Christ from the dead. Dinesh felt Shah Rukh would be the ideal choice to play the young man in the story with a universal message. He was aware of the way Shah Rukh was making headway in Bombay and would find it difficult to do a short film for Doordarshan. He however approached Shah Rukh who was only growing busier with every film he signed. Shah Rukh did not even stop to ask Dinesh for the details of the film he was making. He made adjustments and alterations in his dates and managed to find time to play the role Dinesh offered him in his film, Mahaan Karz. And the Badshah who can today add as many zeros as he wants to his price was paid just a sum of Rs. Three Thousand and he accepted it with gratitude. I had the good fortune to see Mahaan Karz recently, thanks to Dinesh Lakhanpal and realized how good Shah Rukh was even when he did role in a short film, almost as good as he is today in any of his major films. He proves that talent is talent all the time under any circumstances and that talent could triumph and emerge as bright as ivory any time. I am not sure whether Shah Rukh remembers Mahaan Karz but I have a feeling that he must because it was what he did in films like Mahaan Karz that really gave him the courage, the confidence and the conviction to aim to build an empire of his own

And this story about Shah Rukh comes from Indonesia, comes from an actor called Mahesh Amarnani, a young man who was a struggling actor in Bombay not so long ago but is a very big star on Indonesian TV and some of the most popular Indonesia films. According to Mahesh, Shah Rukh is the most popular actor from anywhere in the world for the people. He is an integral part of the pantheon of Gods worshipped in Indonesia. People of all ages adore him. Seeing his films more than once is a custom, almost a religion, even if it is considered a sin or an act of blasphemy. There is hardly an Indonesian who has not seen a film of Shah Rukh and some of them have made it a habit to seeing his films as many times as possible. Every Indonesian young man dreams of becoming at least a little like Shah Rukh. They know that it is difficult to make the impossible possible but even trying makes them good and even better, they feel. It is a sight to see when people throng theatres and celebrate the release of every Shah Rukh Khan film like a major feast, a feast celebrated with great fanfare. No other actor from any other country has been treated like this at any other time.

Indonesia and Indonesians are waiting for the day when they will be able to see their Badshah who they have only seen on screen, in flesh and blood, see him visiting Indonesia to see how they treat him and what they think of him and why.

This is not just one part of the world that Shah Rukh has conquered. There are many others and there are still others waiting to be conquered by him.

Shah Rukh Khan quizzes Sanjay Dutt on KBCnot SA

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan quizzes the dashing Sanjay Dutt in a special episode of Kaun Bange Crorepati.

Boman Irani will also a participant along with Dutt.

The episode is a fun-filled one with all three actors at their wittiest.

Dutt and Boman are said to have won a fairly decent amount and now Dutt will be donating his share of the prize money won on KBC for a god cause.

Dutt intends to donate the money to an organisation that attempts to help children who are addicted to drugs.

Dutt himself who was once into drugs holds this cause very dear to his heart as he himself has been in this situation.

Dutt said, "I have been into drugs at a certain point in my life. I'm aware of the ill effects and hence I can understand the mental state of these kids. I wanted to do something for them and that's when I discovered this NGO and I try and donate whatever I can."

Dutt also contributes in various other ways like counselling, visiting shelter homes and mobilizing funds for the organisation.

In fact Dutt wants to now go out onto the streets and convince kids who are addicted to drugs to come in for rehabilitation.

SRK in a Lungi(Mundu) on KBC

The Badshah of Bollywood, and the star host and entertainer - SRK, has certainly left no stones unturned to amuse and enthrall one and all with his distinct wit and style on India's biggest game show- KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI..

So much so, that the 'King Khan' would now be doing something on the show, that perhaps he would have never thought of. He makes a surprise entry to the show in not his impeccable western formal suit and tie , but a traditional Kerala Lungi (Mundu) instead!! Taking the roll -over contestant Sanjaya K from Kerala by surprise, SRK will amaze the viewers as he introduces the show in a typical Keralite style!

SRK will further talk about how much he's enjoying doing this and that he thinks it is really comfortable attire. In return the contestant Sanjaya will sing the popular Kishore Kumar track - 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' for SRK.. as he joins in too!

Towards the end of the show SRK will have another surprise element for Sanjaya, as he will present him with a cricket bat, exclusively signed by all the members of the Indian Cricket Team!
