KBC News - Happy to have hosted Preity and Rani, says SRK

SRK says he has had one of the best moments on the show with the two actresses

Kaun Banega Crorepati's Holi Special was definitely colourful and a whole lot of fun. From beautiful looking women to colour and balloons, the show had something for everyone.

Shah Rukh's relation with Preity and Rani goes back a long way. He says this enabled all three of them to be very comfortable and natural on the show which helped make the show much more enjoyable. "They are very close friends and I have known them for years. Preity did her first film with me and so did Rani – after her first film she started shooting with me from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

So I have seen them grow as actors. At the same time they are very very close to me. They have a lot of respect for me which comes from the heart so we share a great comfort level too. They are great friends" says Shah Rukh fondly.

Rani and Preity have also become the unofficial highest winners on the show till date by winning 50 lakh rupees for their charities. And Shah Rukh says he had immense fun with the two actresses last week on the show.

"In the last couple of years I've also got a chance to work with Preity and Rani a lot. With them it's always a lot of fun and laughter. It was really nice to have them on the show. But what was nicer was that they played very very well. They were able to answer a lot of questions and in a sense they are the highest earners on the show. They won 50 lakhs so they are officially the highest earners as yet on the show even though they were a couple," says Khan.

KBC News - SRK: Hosting KBC has changed my life

SRK believes his experience on KBC has changed him.

When KBC hit our TV screens, we were all told by a serious looking SRK 'ek sawal aapki zindagi badal sakta hain.' And Khan still strongly believes a question can change your life around completely. He told KBClive that his experience on the sets, interacting with the audiences and contestants as well as the entire show have definitely been one of those life changing events for him.

"Yes, I most certainly believe in it. Coming in touch with so many people from such various backgrounds and cultures and economic levels has really humbled me. People are very different when they come here. They have a lot of dreams in their eyes and it makes me thank Allah for two things – for giving me a great life...economically also it makes me feel like that he has put me in a position where I can help people make an economic difference in their life. And not just that, the fact that I can offer them the whole experience of meeting a movie star, which is really something in our country. I meet simple, middle class people… people for whom 2 crores means a lot or for whom just being on television is a big deal. It gives them an opportunity to become hero like in their own city," says the actor who has reached the highest level of success all on his own merit.

He adds that he is a born entertainer and he wants every individual who comes on the sets to have a great time and hopes that his Hot Seat contestant will have as great a time with him as he does with each of them whether that means singing, dancing, endorsing the contestant's ideas or a simple hello and a hug. "See, on this show if there is anything that can help change their life it's STAR Plus, Synergy or myself - we are a team - and we decided that 'ek sawal aap ki zindagi badal sakta hain'. So if you are on this show we would like it to be a life changing experience in a positive way… I just want them to feel that when they came here they went back home happy," says the actor who is developing a reputation of being a softie at heart on the KBC sets.

KBC News - Women are superior to men says Shah Rukh

On International Women's Day SRK shares his feelings on the status of women.

As the world celebrates International Women's Day today, SRK who has always been very vocal about his feelings for women, couldn't stay behind. As he celebrates the day in honour of women all over the world on his show tonight, he tells KBClive that comparing women to men seems derogatory to him.

"I am very averse to giving messages on women moving ahead or doing better as I sincerely believe that they are superior to men. I think the more we think and say that women should be given equal opportunities as men the more we are deriding the position of women. And so I don't like to participate in that. I think women are the most wonderful living creatures on Earth and I don't mean creatures in a derogatory way," says the man who melts a million hearts.

However he hopes that education will help bring about the changes in those areas where it is needed. "Of course there are instances and areas in India where women are not treated equally which is sad. I am hoping that now that education is now being made available to women also and the fact that there is a lot more exposure via media and travel will help women understand their stock better."

"And there are a lot of people who are doing a lot of work to uplift the status of women in our country and overseas. And I hope it happens. It is unfortunate that some of the prathas and ceremonies that are a little untoward as far as women are concerned and those should change. I think education is making a big change in that and I'm very happy," adds Shah Rukh.
