And Kabir's look of absolute incredulous horror at that statement!!!! Hilarious!!!
Much is being said about a possible triangle. And daily soap rules would dictate that it does happen between R-K-M. However, I think we are much jaded by illogical twists and turns. In real life, how many of us fall in love with our sisters' or friends' men? There is a respectful distance. Infact there is a dating rule and it is no one in importance- thou shall not covet thy friend's boyfriend or ex boyfriend. Ok, so Rhea does not know about Myra and Kabir's earlier interaction and attraction. But heading down that oft trodden road would take away from the lightness and the realistic element of the show. I think a boy and a girl can be friends without being romantically inclined and I think Rhea now needs a friend more than anything else, because like most complicated people, she does not like reasoning with her family.
Kabir does seem less playful, more serious- possibly preoccupied. But does it have to do with a specific purpose for which he is in Jaipur? Why would an internationally acclaimed journalist find his way to Jaipur unless there is a reason or a story? Another possibility is that, and this is what I think, his attraction to Myra brought out a playfulness in him which he surpassed because of how it all ended. Now, he does not really know where he stands in his equation with Myra and to be honest with how she treats him, any man will be put off by such behaviour.
But, as Jane Austen rightly said 'We are all fools in Love'. As Kabir starts to live in the Kohli household and his reserve melts away, let us see how foolish Kabir and Myra become. And what is in store for Rhea who possibly still loves Nikhil but refuses to acknowledge it. And will there be someone who comes for Abha, who can support her and fix her broken heart.
