The talented actor-turned-writer Rajiv Paul launches his poetry book recently titled "Mumbai, Mohabbat and Tanhai" along with Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar who was also present at the event. Rajiv has himself written his book.
Rajiv's poetry book is getting an amazing response from the audience. Farhan was quite excited to recite two of his favorite lines 'Tanhai..' from the book and he even appreciated Rajiv's poetry.
Rajiv Paul responded, "I was very much inspired from the song Tanhai from Dil Chahta Hai movie. That word itself stroke me and it has been used in such a simple and beautiful way in the song that it really touched me. My book Mumbai, Mohabbat and Tanhai which is given the title Tanhaihas come from Javed Saab's song. I have dedicated this book to my parents and Delnaaz, but today I also dedicate it to Javed Saab. This is really a humble gesture of Farhan agreeing to read poetry and I own the gratitude to him for the same."
Farhan said, "We had earlier met on Nach Baliye set. I always have this in mind that he was a special boy. He was hard-working in the way he presented himself. Rajiv had referred at that time he had an interest in writing poetry but feared to publish it. It was way back in 2005, but I'm happy that after seven years he got the courage in him to publish the book. All the best wishes to him."
Satish Kaushik congratulated Rajiv on his success. He climbed the ladder with this wonderful book on poetry and now he has again touched the sky. This is his specially and all the best wishes to him.
A best seller book, Rajiv's Mumbai, Mohabbat and Tanhai is basically portrayed on love, separation, lonely life in big city and the feelings that we come across at that time. Few of his poetry is on current political and social situation.
Other guests present fir the evening at the launch were Satish Kaushik, Talat Aziz , Aswini Dheer, Raghu, Suchitra Pillai, Neena Kulkarni, Vivek Mushran, his brother Rakesh Paul, Raageshwari etc.
All the guests read two lines from his poetry. Five songs from his poetry has been recorded by Rajeev which will release soon plus a video will also be shot starring Rajev and a contest will be held for the search of lead girl in the video.
Well Rajiv Paul is surely going a long way ahead. Hearty congratulations to him for his great achievements for his book 'Mumbai, Mohabbat Aur Tanhai'.
