Once they receive a complaint, the police should decide what sections of the penal code can be applied in the case. Prima facie, from what we have seen, Sofia's complaint can only make a case of assault with the intent to outrage the modesty of a woman, voluntarily causing hurt, and criminal intimidation... The relevant sections are s. 324, 354, and 506. These are all bailable offenses, and I also think that if these were the sections on the basis of which a complaint was filed, it is puzzling why the police dropped everything else on their plate to make an arrest. 😕

To follow the correct procedure, the police should have asked Armaan to appear for an interview - be advised to have a lawyer with him - and only if his guilt be suitably established - place him under arrest. Either they have considered the unedited video of the incident to be sufficient as proof of guilt, or they are also eager to get their few minutes of fame... who knows...

I am however not complaining about the removal of the douche... I hope, he is considered evicted for all purposes hereafter. 😆😆

Couldn't agree more...
I think more than justice this has become a war of ego..
Sofia repeatedly showed her displeasure at she being ousted rather than arman. Even in her interviews post eviction she said that her top priority now is to get Armaan out of BB and this she certainly did!
Arman does need anger management classes but this police case is over the top. She sued him under section 354 of sexual harassement. thats bizzare!
i do not support Arman at all and he definitely deserves a lesson but not this way!
yeh toh wahi baat hui jebkatrae ko saza mili deshdroh ki 😆

i am seeing Arshad trying to seek publicity...

i know Sofia getting lots of support from all over world and Arshad Warsi is too small a star to get notice in support of Sofia...

thats why he is supporting Armaan so that people get to know who are supporting Arman...

He is acting he is some super star... but he is actual wanna be here not sofia for publicity tweeting... he is supporting Armaan as if he saw 24*80 days footage... get lost Arshad.
i am seeing your movie is releasing... wanna be kahin ka... you don have any logic... you could support Sofia and also could voice for all other victims...

Mr Kohli has been booked under sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) 506 (criminal intimidation) and 354 a (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code. He will be produced in Wadgaon Maval court near Lonavala today.

I dont think anything like that happened coz as we saw later on in her birthday party she was happily feeding cake to Armaan. She had calmed down and later on was simply instigated by other people. I hate it when women like her fake something as serious as sexual harassment as later on when people who actually go through this traumatic experience, no one believes them. Allegations of such proportions are no joke.

On other hand this can be a wake up call for Armaan. He needs to deal with his anger issues. As much i hate him, i feel his exit this way was too harsh. Eviction would have been better.

Of all the responses, I find yours the most balanced, objective and fair!

So well put...both for Armaan and Sofiya!

** Sofiya did say in all her interviews after her eviction, that Gauhar and Kushal asked her to make a Police complaint!

Cruiser when hilarious :

...Both blessed each other with quite a few colorful decorations

...Armaan being the champion abuser ...

... If abusing is ground of arrest 80% of Delhi-Punjab belt males should be behind bars...

Cruiser when practical:

...If Bigg Boss ... categorically told him this is his last and final warning

if cops started arresting people merely based on 'Complaints', Police Station cells would have no space...

...case goes to court, any smart ass lawyer representing Armaan would blast this whole case

Sector when in love (most of the time):

....oh i still fancy Armaan...

Sector when sensible (rare):

...Someone please beat the sh*t out of Armaan and make a gentleman out of him...

he's simply ignoring any comment that points that out...lol

At first i tried pointing that out thinking he wasnt aware..but it seems he is hell bent in defending armaan

No...if you objectively look at it, you are assuming there is something else in Unedited footage and at begining itself I have said, as always, I will and can, only go by what I have seen. So I am not disagreeing with you over anything...but based on WHAT I SAW, I am fine with condemnation, BB reprimand, even eviction of Armaan...NOT ARREST!😊

As I understand it, the police have the unedited version of the events in issue. Based on that evidence, Armaan has been booked under the following:

Indian Penal Code section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means)
IPL 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace)
IPL 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman)
IPL 506 (criminal intimidation)
IPL 354 (sexual harassment)

If these laws have been created, they should be followed. We shouldn't try to be the lawmakers or the decision-makers as we clearly don't have all the facts.

It wasnt just a verbal altercation..
The channel edited the part where Armaan hit sophia with a mop & probably because of that footage Sophia got enough evidence against Armaan to get him arrested.

It is entirely bigg boss' fault TBH , if they had deal with this situation on the spot instead of that "Sulah" & making Sophia believe that they'll take some actions against Armaan on saturday, this wouldnt have happened
