You are missing the point here. Sofia pushing Armaan and Sofia getting hit were two separate events. During the car task Armaan snatched the mop stick from Sofia's hands and after that what happened was edited out and we just got to see Gauhar's reaction. She said something like "Armaan ji what are you doing??". Sofia didn't push him at this incident. BB should have evicted him there and then considering he had already got a warning when he twisted Andy's wrist. On top of that it seemed like Sofia was promised a showdown on Saturday, maybe humiliation by the host or something on those lines but none of that happened. Infact Sofia is evicted while the real culprit is still inside the house. Even if she did it for publicity I still support her because this is a tight slap and a lesson for BB team who did not comply to their own rules. As for the accusations, I recently saw a news report which included a Police Inspector's interview who clearly mentioned he has seen the UNEDITED version and that is why he is being arrested. Sofia is setting up a good example here no matter the intensity of the attack and her real motive. Let's not discourage that.

I can only base my assessment based on what WE SAW on TV...

Some others have said there is something else that happened and I am fine with that! (Though as Sofiya was on stage almost within no time and apart from bruise, may be suffered a few edited out verbal assaults)...so more or less, legally, still thr grounds would remain same.

I would be AMAZED, if Armaan can actually be arrested because of this incident!

Right now as a Kushal fan, you are entitled to feel happy, but trust me, if you read my opening post dispassionately, you would understand the logical case that I have tried coming up with.

Abuses are condemnable...not grounds for arrest, that too in this manner! 😆

Hi Cruiser this is what I had written in another post it has the reason why they had to arrest Armaan.

The charges lavied against Armaan are IPC sections 294 (obscene acts and songs), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 354 a (sexual harassment) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman). Out of them 354 is a non bailable offence. Before anything you would be arrested if some woman lays that charge.
Not saying that weather Armaan is guilty or not because we have not being shown enough to say weather he sexually harassed Sofia or not. Rest are all bailable warrants as far as I know.

Sorry, but I do not agree with you Cruiserji. If Sofia felt that something wrong has happened to her, you nor me are anyone to decide for her as we do not know the whole story. We have only seen part of the argument, and we have not even seen the broom part. I leave the judgement up to the police and the court as they have the full version. As for ruining the show, its just a show and law and order is much more important. I salute anyone that stands up for their own rights.

Armaan should be punished but this incident gone bigger because of her EGO and hunger of fame & Publicity ...

A great analysis indeed👏. Too bad we do not have more intelligible studies as this.

@BOLD:
I agree with that. And thats why I went to lengths explaining how exactly court proceedings take place in India.

As it is the guy was in a closed house. Its not that he was escaping anywhere. They could have questioned him as soon as he exited out of house.

Validity of my opinion would be upheld, once you realise Armaan can not be punished for what happened.

The alertness with which Police have acted on Sofiya's complaint would make sense even if Armaan can be sentenced to a 30 day Prison sentence. Will he?? NO WAY!

What was the point then?

It's bigg boss's hunger to protect armaan and salman's hunger for bias towards armaan that has resulted in all this

I think d sense of proportion has totally gone for a toss since the time the targeting of a selective housemates started by the Bigg Boss team and the host and when negligible mistakes of a few housemates were blown out of proportion and dey were relentlessly grilled week after week and non-stop abuses and many other wrong doings of selective housemates were ignored or barely mentioned by the host.

It's all a culmination of weeks of resentment felt by ppl over this attitude and yeah we may all lament that in a country like India where der r so many more graver issues to take up, we a stuck wid a TV reality show, where by the end of it all everyone who participated whether host, production house, channel, sponsors and even housemates will be laughing all the way to the bank. But this does epitomize the society we live in and I suppose it just shows the impact TV has and even if it's just a TV show, I am for one happy tht at least not every wrong doing can be brushed under the carpet coz of who u r or how well u r connected.

Also I am sure dat Armaan will be soon out on bail, in fact it's a wonder his family didn't apply for anticipatory bail, but at least he who had behaved so deplorably and arrogantly could be brought down a few notches.

This is what I had to say in some other post about the topic:

Sophia might/might not have filed the case for publicity but the fact is that she (and every other HM) has been verbally abused every time they stood up to Arman. I know this case won't hold water in the court but I will take any bitch slap that is being given to him. So kudos to her for taking a bold step and not brown nosing the Bollywood fraternity.

I usually like your analysis but this one is off the mark...you are entitled to your opinion. The police arrested armaan after analyzing the videos n added a few clauses themselves. And you are confusing two different incidents from the same day. As a woman, I say: more power to you sofia.
