The police does not know the law, so they will not watch the videos to understand intent and legality. They will just see if there was any physical contact. Moreover, those getting happy on principle also- let me ask you- with so many real crimes happening and going undetected, don't you think this is a frivolous charge, a waste of resources? Police resources could have been used elsewhere where crimes are really happening. This is not to say that he did or did not hurt her- everyone is fully within their limit to have an opinion about his wrongdoing. But this is not worthy of a charge.
