its bcz salmans hindi accent is warped n he talks in a way so dat elli doesnt understand..he takes it as prank but she suffers.. where as when she talks to hm..they use words which she is used to...so she understands well...she is very fluent esp when it comes to sangy n andy..bcz they r close.

I think its because she is nervous or consious..it happens to me too when I talk to some elders or outsiders in a language thats not my own
