God knows what her intent behind that was but had this happened here, Kushal would be in a position to start legal proceedings against Tanisha and charge her with sexual harassment.

Nope, won't be considered sexual harassment in America, probably aggression. However, what Kushal said about her would be considered sexual harassment.

Really???? Oooh kushal must have been so hurt with that bump.

lol

so you are saying that a person getting sued and charged for sexual harassment, having his career and social standing destroyed is better than some one violent charge with a slight neck grab.

Calling someone fat, kachara, unsuccessful, etc etc = sexual harassment 😕

And No, I am not his fan and nor am I defending his remarks, just curious with your above statement.

I live in America too, there was actually a case of sexual harassment in one of my old office. There was this old manager who was purposely bumping into his female department employees. However, he also did a lot more than that so there was more of a case against him.

Within the workplace environment (in America) lewd and obscene comments made by a man toward a woman, like the ones above, are considered sexual harassment.

I still don't get how what Tanisha or Kushal did was sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is what Ajaz did to Elli.

Like I said , I don't know the intention was behind it either so I'm not saying it's sexual harassment either. May be Tanisha just did it in anger. Who knows.

But one could easily build a case for it if they really wanted to . That is all I'm saying.

I doubt it. It wasn't of sexual nature. It was just an act of mild aggression against a member of the opposite sex.

I am myself from Canada and I am sure the legal system isn't that different. Probably the kinda remarks Armaan passed for Elli can be passed along the lines of sexual harassment, but things which were stated by Kushal don't seem feasible to fall under sexual harassment. It can probably fall under harassment but sexual, Hmmm...

I've actually witnessed both in my old workplace. Passing derisive comments (not of sexual nature) would be harassment but def. not sexual harassment. The point to note here is that Kushal said all those things after the bump, mummy comments in the washroom area not before it.

And nobody can really tell whether Tanisha's bump was of sexual nature or not except Tanisha herself. It really depends on how Kushal perceived the bump. If he feels that it is tantamount to sexual harassment, then he could file a case.

Actually they do. For instance, to comment on a female co-workers body is considered sexual harassment.
