Everyone is making such a huge deal about it. Did no one find it offensive that the hell people and heaven weren't together and were kept divided?! I mean that's pretty unfair.

Maybe Gauhar was or maybe she wasn't, but the bigger point--it's her life and her choice. As long as she isn't jamming her way down our throats why the hell should it matter?!

People are just concentrating on the part where she did not take part. Did anyone see the part before that? The Jahannum people wanted to touch the frame of Durga Ma to take blessings. Gauahar told Pratyusha to give them the frame after the Pooja was performed. The reason for that, I am quite sure is the fact that it is "that time of the month" for her. She is a smart girl. I don't think religion would be an issue on National TV to not take part in a Pooja. Whereas, "that time of the month" is a perfectly valid reason. Girls do not touch anything related to God or worship during that time generally, atleast here in India. And the minute she told Pratyusha to give them the frame, that is the first thing that came to my head. I mean come on guys! She is a modern girl. No disrespect to her religion, but I don't think being of a different religion was the reason she stayed away.

If someone said that she didn't take part as a sign of support to Kushal, I would have still thought it to be valid and justified. But not this. However, I personally strongly feel that the reason I am assuming is the actual one. Hopefully I am right.

I don't know why I am going around posting this in her support since I am not her lawyer, but this is just a sign of support on my behalf to her. To send her good vibes. That's it. She won't even know that she has supporters here on this forum defending her, but this is my bit for the contestant I am rooting for with all my heart. :)

Rhea although I agree with you on defending Gauher, however what you said about "its the time of the month" that's why Gauher didn't likely participate is not a valid reason.
This is because in this case Gauher wouldn't touch anything related to her religion(Islam) during their time of the month to not upset Allah only, since Islam believes that there is only one god.

That's why the fact that you said she might have not wanted to touch or perform anything holy of other religion(hinduism) because she doesn't want to upset other gods is just not reasonable.

I think she entirely did it to be loyal to her religion, and I don't understand why people are saying she didn't participate, she did participate but just didn't perform the rituals, obviously just how hindus are not likely to go pray namaz in mosques during Eid. It's as simple as that.

Well it doesn't matter to me one way or other...i have been to religious ceremonies with my Muslim friends and they have been to gurudwara with me. My point is it depends on the individual, It's her choice. But about the time of the month that has passed couple weeks ago as colors showed her complaining to kushal abt pain during those days.
P.s. I don't think we should make her not being in puja a big deal like I said her choice.

I agree. Religion is personal. Let her be.
But I still have a question. I've been reading this quite a few times...some members said they were proud of Gau for doing that. I wanna know why. WHat's there to be proud about? Honestly want to know coz I'm curious!! 😆

her time of the month or not this should have never been made an issue because this is 2013 and people who claim to be liberal and open-minded are the ones being ignorant and low in their thinking

its obvious her religion is different than others in there and its between her and God no one of any religion has any right to say she should have done otherwise.
people need to grow up.

Who is naking an issue? Certainly not me!! Did you not read my post?? I said...it's her personal choice. LET HER BE!!! Honest to God, I mean that.
Some Gau fans said they were proud of her for not attending the pooja. That's what i wanna know. What's there to be proud about.? Again, I reiterate...it's her personal choice. Leave. Her. Alone. What I wanna know is if she didn't attend, how does it make some ppl proud? An honest, sincere question.

I read your post correctly, and I meant why isn't something so simple coming clear to you..

I'm not a Gauher fan, but i can assume what's making "those" people proud, being the way Gauher behaves she doesn't look like an ideal muslim and i'm sure you/ or anyone might agree.. but by not performing the rituals she showed us that she isn't that ignorant of Islam or respects her religion above all, because any person would know that performing worshiping rituals for another god, regardless of how it is done would simply beat the purpose of their own religion, in this case Islam for Gauher. It's that simple. Hope you get it now.

If you'd read it correctly, you wouldn't be saying I'm making an issue out of it. 😕 I just wanted a question answered and though it might seem simple to you, it isn't to me.
So you are saying her behavior is not 'ideal muslim' but her not attending the pooja made her somewhat muslim. Okay. I get that. Still nothing to be 'proud' of IMHO. That's a strong word to use in this context.
And thanks for your response. :)
