There seems to be some serious misunderstandings and assumptions here. The only criticism I see is directed towards Armaan. Yes, it is harsh, but I think majority of the population irrespective of gender will agree that his behavior has come off as chauvinistic, arrogant and disrespectful to women. His criticism has been focused on these behaviors only. It is not as if he rescued some puppy on the road and people are trashing him for it. Of course supporters of Armaan are free to feel that people have misunderstood his behavior or are exaggerating his flaws. They can defend Armaan on these terms.

However, no one has said that all men are bad or trashed all men on account of Armaan. Claiming that people who criticize Armaan hate men or making sarcastic comments on their attitudes is an unfair generalization. I don't think anyone should be generalized for their liking or disliking of a celebrity. Attack and tear apart the "argument" not the "person". Too many people seem to be thinking that targeting another person makes their argument better or stronger. And yes I know it applies to both sides of the argument. But IMO it is clear who makes the generalizations and personal comments first. Not that it justifies retaliation. But Newtons laws!

There is one crucial difference between Gauhar's interactions and some of Armaan's interactions.

Whether real or fake, the flirtation between Gauhar-Kushal are consensual. Both are engaging in it equally. Should Kushal back out or say he is uncomfortable, then Gauhar would be as loathsome as Armaan. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being provocative or flirty, as long as you don't force yourself on someone.

In terms of backstabbing, Gauhar is very abrasive, scheming and bitchy. There are tons of topics criticizing her on it. The only difference I feel is that Gauhar doesn't make pretences to be sweet and she doesn't pick on the weak player. She tackles only those who can give back to her as good as she gives.

Gauhar has plenty of flaws and should and gets due criticism. She's not winning any Miss congeniality contest.

And before I address the rest of your post the topic maker said Armaan may even "Hit on" a pregnant woman, not "hit" a pregnant woman. HUGE difference. So I need to clarify what you are reading it as, and what about it offends you.

If Armaan Fans go OTT like this TM on Arman and his likes, Meaning Fans. "Consensual" doesn't always mean is ok or good. po*n stars, Prostitutes, Escorts etc all kinds of sex workers do it consensual... So when morality goes down, like faking a romance on camera, when it's not needed...they have the potential to do any consensual jobs mentioned above... Should they (Armaan Fans) go for it? And then they can find the likes of her too...Don't you think that's justified if this TM's comments on Aarman is justified? Do you recommend that line of arguments? If IF COC will permit that, I'm sure they are ready for such extreme line too, unless these Misandry kind of attacks stop.

But nobody is going that line with Gauhar as this TM and select members are going with Armaan. All criticism of Gauhar is related to the incident and within the frame of the competition. So, the Misandry is clearly the only explainable reason for going so OTT against Aarman and all men.

Even that difference is irrelevant... And similar inferences can be drawn from Gauhar's characteristics, if that's generalized the way this TM is doing all over the forum on Armaan. Whom all Gauhar and her likes can hit on and what all she can do, do you support that line of insane arguments?? They can be up for it, if the forum wants.

- You actually have no problem with non consensual flirtation and sexual remarks by men

- You feel that calling a man who engages in non consensual behavior a chauvinist equates to misandry and is worse than calling a woman a wh**e

Misandry is the hatred of men. The TM has expressed a loathing only for Armaan and men who behave like Armaan only. There has been no hating or disparaging comments on men in general, just Armaan.

But somewhere down the line calling a misbehaving man a chauvinist has been compared to calling women who flirt wh**es. I don't know why I'm still posting. There is no argument that can reason with that line of thought. 😕
