And honestly, some people have this convoluted and hackneyed preconceived idea that homosexuality is a disease or somethin worse. A lot of it comes from stereotypes and ignorances. And it's sad to see this level of smallness of thought in this day of age, but we can always hope for change.

I don't know Kushal as a person, but I hope he doesn't have a holier-than-thou persona b/c that's just sickening.

I would say that the so called progressives/liberals who vouch or pretend to vouch for Gays aren't better either because I have observed a lot of them like to crack gay jokes. Not just in India but also in the west. Salman does it all the time. When you treat it as a subject of joke then there is bound be caustic remarks like this.

Umm based on his reaction, he is certainly upfront about his opinions!
I always think people like him are so insecure of their own masculinity when they make a hue and cry about sharing a bed with a man. 🤢

Please wait for it to move forward...
Let him act wierd...no matter...
Let him be out...no matter...
I know he was a bit rude with andy...but lets wait...

***Many think that we just love him blindly...We are not so senseless... its true we love him to core but if he is anywhere wrong truly, then we wont defend him... though our love would remain the same!

So lets wait and watch rather than jumping to conclusions at the very first episode! 😊

Agree. But those ar pseudo-liberals. Like Jon Stewart is a perfect example of someone who vouches for gay rights and is really progressive. He does jokes, but his jokes are not meant to laugh AT a particular group...his jokes make people laugh at him and the gays are laughig WITH him. There's a difference. The gay humor in films and award shows is stereotypical. Feminine gay guy, flirting with every guy...so bogus! Like Vin Deisel--biggest action film star is gay but he's not the stereotypical gay man that Indian films portray and that's sick.

Also, I know this is Salman's forum and stuff, but I don't think of him as a well-learnt individual. He might be liberal in certan views but he is not intelligent like Jon Stewart is, just my personal opinion.

You think people from the LGBT community do not face such situations in everyday life? I just shared a couple of page back, how I used to see my Prof being threatened and humiliated. This is a fact of life and they as well as we (their supporters) are used to it. We can only hope to change attitudes over time. And honestly when ypou see a Rajev Paul abusing Imam without any provocation or the kind of reaction Kushal had towards Andy - people don't realize how misplaced and out of sync such reactions are? Andy and Imam in their ways are doing their bit to get their community a voice and stature.

I know they do...but getting their a***s kicked in TV shows n bollywood flicks, encourages this behaviour even more...Some of this "normal people" think it to be real fun...
