Even if you dont understand 'GG wave' thats not gonna change the reality😆 that he won. Let us celebrate now atleast. And from your long thesis it is clear that how much BB means to you. 😛

Because other people's point of views were not even shown for a large part of the episodes!!

He started the show with gaali controversy, yet people pardoned him when he cried and apologized. Thats the starting point to GG wave. Karishma triggered GG Tsunami in a way.

He never took stand for anybody or anything, but nobody considers it important. Same GG fans blamed other HMs if they failed to take stand for GG.

He spoke cheaply about almost every female participant in the house, but all females fans were absolutely okay with that. When he was asked about his comments he always lied , and never really apologized anybody.

He passed personal and dirty comments almost about everybody, but when others said anything which is remotely personal, fans didnt show them any mercy on them.

He clearly patted Sambhava's back for throwing the sandal, yet his fans found no fault in this. He changed sides so many times but he never was Double Dholki.

How can we forget how immediately he changed his tune, called Diandra just a friend after the party. No, he is still not a Double Dholki.

He is never cheap even considering lotion leelas.

Its beyond my understanding, how his fans never found anything wrong with what GG did or said.

I feel there are 3 major factors, which helped him to gain so much popularity.

1. He is good looking (not such an imp factor though)

2. He was alomst always shirtless, showing his abs.

3. The most IMPORTANT factor is He always played a Victim card, always tried to gain sympathy, cried , spoke to cameras. This is really a deadly combination. Considering all the female contestants who won in previous seasons , like, Juhi, Gauhar or swetha, they were always abala naaris. Now GG is a deadly combination of both looks and Abala naari syndrome! that has made him irresistible and helped him earn so many fans...which created a huge GG wave.

My only favorites this season are 1st Praneet and next Sonali, in the order of preference. But i knew very well from the beginning that they dont have any chance to win, becoz they are not fake or played politics. In a way i was happy and relieved when Praneet got voted out. I felt as if he was rescued.

All I would want to say is, any other contestant never had any chance of winning BB8.. they can never be like GG.

There ends the another season of BB, which left me wondering, is the show worth my time? or anybody's time? I am feeling somewhat embarrassed of myself for watching it so religiously.

Brilliant post. In my thinking GG has Tanna and Salman Khan to thank for this. Tanna for overreacting and stretching the matter, GG took full advantage of the situation and that same weekend Salman declared him a hero. And from there began a show that was completely centered around him. Too much feedback and manipulation of the game only made things worse. The channel also cashed in by having a task for him, doing Twitter trending for him and eventually weighing everyone with respect to him. The Diandra angle spoilt his image and made him lose many supporters but even then the channel bailed him out with the party task and evicting Diandra the same weekend. Then later on Diandra was trained to come back in a task and sing his praises after clearly saying He deserves my silence.

TM great post. You nailed it. He has won and its very inspirational story of below average man with below average looks and absolutely no talent can also reach the top if he has senseless backing in numbers.

I think the most important factor in gg wave was Karishma tanna..

Karishma tanna tried to play sympathy and victim card but overtook it and advantage was taken by gg..
Remember the second weekend ka vaar??
In that one also, infront of Salman, she repeatedly said mujhe uske sorry Mein feel nahi aaya..
And in reality, Gautam whole week apologised.. Still wo feel nahi as raha tha usko..
That was the turning point for Gautam..

Again, deepshikha, sukirti, tanna, soni were trying to cash on the incident of Gautam gaali like targetting him and catching every word of him and saying aurat se tammez se baat karo and all.. Don't u use this word for me..

And this way gg rose to fame..

If they had ended that drama second or third day itself..

See the daily soaps topping the trp charts these days! Ones with the more aansu and dukhiyaripana are ruling! So...amount of aansu and dukhiyariness is directly proprtional to your fan following! Hence the rotlu's waavveee...

You wrote a nice article,.. but I would like to add couple more points,...

First impression is the last impression. When everyone were new,... after 4-6 days that big fight of KT and GG about gaali arose,.. and there after many many fights happened,... but that first one built the images for the entire Nation and that was for KT and GG, da main guys. And that's how Deepshikha also lost in just one week, though many had analyzed her as last year's almost Urvashi like.

So,.. once the wind started, then Colors and BB also knew the outer public's nerve, taste and controversial character and kept on keeping more and more camera on GG and more and more showing of him,. As a result, he became center of the galaxy and that's how all bedroom guys including UP were shown a veeery little,,... and they all faded out, as the main camera was on P3G's gang.

Papaji also gave a too much boost n' importance ( unknowingly ) to this Pappu, by keeping him always in goad, and as a result GG got more chance to show up major times on an episode out of those 45 minute. Papaji and Pritam indirectly were making his image, that they never knew,.. !

Jo dikhta hai,.. woh bikta hai,.. that worked, and

BB also got that public's nerve very well,... and kept GG in center to draw more audience in the show ! And all of a sudden he became Sun of this solar system and then BB and Colors had to carry him in the center and forward the show,.. !

This Rawan like Janaawar, was so smart that,... somehow during Sat/Sunday, in front of Salmaan, he was becoming so seedha-sada, bhola sa nanha munna sa obedient baalak,... never confronting any,.. and that's how he also threw dirt in Salmaan and Color's eyes too.

Secondly, GG is young, 6-8 packs and another naaga boy just like Salmaan, with open abs, ...also more cells/mobiles in India are

in teen-agers' hands who vote. So GG got more and more votes almost all weeks,...

He also played his victim card well,... Maintained Papaji ko goad, as a ladak-vaaya dikara,... And it all worked for him, to remain camera front,...

GG's many stages such as,.. which kept him in Picture,...

GG/KT's gaali fight,...

Among P3G fight with Praneet and Pritam also very often,..also "ladaaku murga" kinda comedy character,..

GG praised by Sallu - 2-3 weeks non-stoply, while bashing KT, and saving GG as main Hero with highest votes,.. the first saved guy declaring,..

GG's fight with Punes at Meethayi waala task,...

GG's fight with Ali,. About - chamche se aankh fod daalunga,..

GG-Sonali romance,..

GG-Dimpy's dosti,...

Gauttam city - dictator task,..

GG-Di's love affair,..

GG- Upen's fight at Phone booth task about shushant and being bald,..

GG-Upen bedroom fight, again, when Upen got unnecessary Psycho,... ( London waala haath )

GG- Pritam's fight at museum task and all the way till last day,...

GG's again drama of Insaaniyut naam ki cheez,...

And all these incidents did favor to GG only, ( all P3 became pyaada of GG,.. feeding him more publicity, indirectly , out of their knowledge ) as those all events kept him camera-front,... active, and non-faded !

And' that's how he was sold in the Public eye for the finale winner.

If that first KT's fight had no happened,.. he should had been out by 1-3 weeks, and like at Asif Azim guy, no body would had recognized him,... Gauttam who ? -

That's how talentless he was, he knew no singing, dance, macho act, comedy, no entertainment feed, no height, no special skills,... just a Chhota Pappu, he was !

But somehow his stars were in the mid-sky/Zenith

.and everything fell-down in its proper place,.. in his good, and he swimmed ! It happens !!
