But I'm pretty certain just being homosexual or bisexual is not.

That's correct. Homosexuality is not illegal in India, it is only a taboo. Section 377 of the IPC criminalizes homosexual sex.

So - illegal to be gay - is INCORRECT.

Look at the irony - people here are questioning education levels of others on the basis of their half-baked knowledge. 🤔

Only the underlined content is of my interest, rest of it, you arejust wsting time, because I'm immune to personal attack 😆

Well, if you insist, that someone's wife equals to your BFF, it's wrong that doesn't equate. Off course it depends on her/his acceptance in your family & mental attachment. If she is as close as a family member, you can do that...but you will have hard time explaining that she equals to your family member...so you could only do that with people who personally know you. So a better comparison would be between established relations...

But here the situation is opposite and it matters too. someone Attacked your fictitious best friend and you Attack his family. Well if u want to display your vindictive attitude then u can do anything, who stops. But if you claim to be just and you have insaniyat etc...then you are dead wrong...unless you share similar relationship with her...BFF can't be a direct family member, so it definitely indicate a deeper relation than regular friendship, that you calim its a just counter attack on someone's wife. So BFF on same level of wife? If you insist, yes many eyebrows will be raised, you care or don't care, thatsa seperate issue ... 😉

That's what I am saying. Do you know personally what attachment Sumeet has to Gautam? On the basis of that toh you are speculating he is gay. So ? Sumeet = Pritam;s wife in that case, so why are you and others making such a HALLA out of that comparison and Gautam bringing PRitam;s wife into the picture? If Sumeet is really Gautam;s bf, then it makes complete sense no? Then why calling it wrong?

If Sumeet is just a BFF, again, your own statement above underlines, says it all. Maybe this BFF is family to you. Is like your plus 1 at every party. you are not married, so this BFF is the person you confide in, confess in, spend all your time together, he/she is part of your family, is like a son/daughter to your parents, someone you know for ages. That person I love in the same way Pritam loves his wife. This is not sexual, so only co-relating it with love. The love he feels for his wife, I feel for my BFF. Simple. Who are you to judge someone;s private relationship and what it means to them? Sexually or just as friends.

your outlook is narrow because you equate someone comparing a possible close family friend to someone's wife in the context of love and family as a necessarily sexual relationship.

wife, parents and friends are all people we love and they come in that same category of close and dear people. Like I said, degrees of love vary, but they are contextually are in the same definition.

If Gautam is unmarried, and doesn;t have a girlfriend, it's obvious he will equate his friend who he loves ( sexually or not) to Pritam's spouse. and If Sumeet is really his bf, all the more reason for the comparison to be valid for people like you who think it has to validate on an equal level.

But like I said, your narrow think only allows sexual kind of relationships, and does not consider love as a more wholesome concept, but love as a necessarily defined relationship.

If Gautam is gay, why is he not accepting it? It's not a crime not to come out of the closet. It will make him feel better. He always needs a man to support him which proves he's gay

Yes, my knowledge may have been half baked, but at least, my world view is not, unlike yours. And I rather take being broad minded in the way I treat people.

Also, I did just read up. Being gay is no illegal, but nonetheless since it is such a taboo, the stats of crimes against vocal homosexuals and those that are publicly open about their orientation and violence against them in India are pretty high. There are cases of people having been jailed on false accusations because our country has people who are as homophobic as some people on this forum.

Karishma is a cheat? Why is she not accepting it? It is not a crime to come out of the closet. It will make her feel better. She always needs Upen to support her, and be intimate to her to prove she is cheating on her boyfriend.

It was not about being called homosexual.Ali taunted Gautam that he has used his so-called boyfriend to gain entry in the industry and that he indulges in exchange of favours with the designers, which is a far more disgusting comment. Its no different from a woman being called a s**t and accused of getting success by sleeping around. That is where the problem lies.If I place myself in his position and someone in the office makes comments on me that I get promotions coz of sleeping around,I had slap the shit out of that person.

I don't care if he is gay or not.Whether he accepts it or not is his personal choice.Being gay is not synonymous with being lesser. I am not his fan but I can understand why he was upset with Ali's taunts.
