Why was Miesha crying over slippers?

Hopefully this hasn't been posted before. I checked for similar post but didn't find any so here it is.

In the starting of the last episode Shamita is seen talking to Miesha and telling her that she will give her clothes as barter (for ruining her slippers) or she will pay her for the slippers. Pratik is also present. And Miesha gets all emotional and says "no one's gonna send me anything from outside.if I had someone I would have been ok." What's the deal here? I hardly follow these people so I wasn't sure what that was about.

So it can be seen later that Shamita asks Pratik why was Meisha saying something like this. Pratik goes on to explain that Meisha's both parents are no more. So she has no family outside.

The point wasn't slippers it was about her things. Shamita understands teh gravity of the situation and feels bad. She calls Meisha again and says you can pick any of my shoes and they are yours.

Meisha says no its fine. Don't worry, my slippers are not as expensive as your shoes. Shamita says don't think about that just pick anyone.

For a task shamita had put her slippers in red paint but she was feeling thoda guilty while doing it because mieshas slippers were fancy and pretty. While putting destroying her slippers shamita also said these are so pretty and shes feeling bad doing this. Later she was telling miesha sorry and i think she didn’t have an extra pair of showy slippers and couldn’t ask anyone to get it for her and said there is no one who can send. So shamita said she will tell her designer to get a similar one for her and then later just asked prateek why was she saying no one can get it for her like her family can get na. So prateek mentioned that both her parents are not with her..both passed away which is like extremely heart breaking (this miesha girl is very strong) so shamita was shocked and was crying and felt even more bad so she just took out her shoes and called miesha to take one.
