In all honesty yes Salman Khan is a big name and all but no one has the right to disrespect anyone in a professional setting. The only season I have completely watched was Bigg Boss 13 and he humiliated some of the contestants there. If the contestants take it as a joke then that's fie but if they don't then that's basically bullying which happens all the time in Bigg Boss. The problem is I don't think he even knows what goes on in the house and says what is basically told to him.

Having said that, I don't think he meant "samaan" in a bad way. Even Rubina knows that. From what I understood she has a feeling that someone from the team put that in his mind in regards to the whole her convincing abhinav yada yada. I don't think she's blaming Salman Khan per se. I actually like that she's not afraid to voice her concerns and can stand up for herself without being intimidated by how powerful the opposition is. Also, she wasn't being disrespectful, she didn't use any bad words or didn't yell at him or anything.

Salman's cheque for one episode is more than the combined signed amounts of all contestants. Why? because of entertainment factor. People watch BB for Salman that's why weekend fetches more trp. Sorry OCK, but this time I have to disagree with you. Salman is no hero - he is a well-documented bratty, petty, bullying, murdering, women-abusing manchild. Any amount of authority that comes from Salman is only a reflection of his patriarchal/hero-worshipping audience base and the power of media manipulation through PR.

If Rubina found something he said questionable, she has every right to challenge it. She even offered to quit the show, which Abhinav talked her out of. Just because Salman is saying something that one would have found offensive if someone else said it, doesn't mean one is no longer allowed to be offended by it. He's just a man. And in this case, he is just a man doing his job - being produced by a team of writers acting as the mouthpiece of the show. True, his job is to entertain. But I feel Rubina has every right to call out the entertainment if she doesn't find it to her taste. In fact, I think our society should get over this star-pedestal culture. These people are not cut from any different cloth than the rest of us.
