Voting system vs Channel's decision - My final words

It is nothing new for BB viewers that every year channel forces its hand in retaining some contestants and show the door to others and this decision has nothing to do with their quality of content or their fanbase.

First time, it became evident to me in Season 10 when Manu and Manveer reached the finale but the more popular contestants on Twitter like Rohan and Gaurav did not. If only think about voting in S10 finale, there was no way Manveer could have secured more votes than Bani. When he won, I was happiest the most because I did not want Bani to win with her abusive language and verbal diarrhea.

I have the same problem with Shukla, but this time, the channel backed the abusive contestant. So what should be the moral compass in this situation? An abusive person can be charming from outside and can nonetheless secure votes from public like in case of Bani whatever the reason may have.

Personally, I think channel should keep the right to decide the winner as it is their show and they should have a voice in choosing their poster girl/boy. But, they should do it more openly and have a panel of judges etc. to sit and overview their journey videos and then make a decision like other reality shows.

I don't mind if Shukla won due to his fanbase or with the help of his friend. I would had done the same thing for my friend in her place so no judgements here. I have no complaints with Bigg Boss. All is well that ends well. May God bless all of them with more work and peace in personal and professional life.

Congratulations to #Sidhearts.

P.S: This is how I will remember this season. I just made it today. Any feedback or suggestions to improve it are welcome.

I think the outrage is not just about the winner...it was the bias through out the season , which frustrated the contestants and their fans!

Breaking of rules another thing!

Ppl won't be questioning the winner if there wasn't bias through out the season.

Shukla will be the most favored contestant if some new bf of Manisha doesn't enter BB.

I remember how well Gaurav chopra had explained about manveer being made the winner. He had said that in order to show that the commoners vs celeb theme was a hit, they had to have a commoner as a winner.

Like I had previously mentioned, in previous seasons they didn't make the bais that obvious, but in this season they were openly baised and even made sure to cover up everything that could go against Sid, to the point of sid saying there is no clock even in the hospital, which sounded ridiculous.

Also yeah I get it it's their show, their winner, but then have transparency. Why have the sham of public voting? I had said the same thing for S10 too. It's your show, your winner so then don't keep public voting. Can't have your cake and eat it too. They should be made answerable. Do away with bogus voting altogether then.

1. If the channel has the right to decide the winner, don’t involve the audience or voting of any kind. Agreed about the judges but even the other shows with judges have some kind of voting at some point in the show. So where’s the credibility in any of this.

2. What lol okay so since we’re choosing to be completely ignorant to the fact that professionalism and ethics should exist in a work place, it still might be okay to favor your contestant-friend to a certain extent; not turn around the entire show towards making him a winner and worse, glorifying the kind of behavior which is everything that’s wrong with our society today.

I never really expected my fav Rashmi to win b'coz d past 2 seasons winners were female from tv industry, so I knew this time they'll declare a male winner. But too predictably again from d tv industry.

D worse part was d bias in providing feedback, outside influence, special favors, manipulations by BB to not let d control of d house go to d rivals even for a week, editing, footage proportion, false propaganda, WKV bashing, n so on.

It wasn't a reality show in d sense of letting things happen organically.

Imagine crowning a lazy abusive lout as d Raja n Badshah n pretending that it was an honest competition.

Hum show imaandari se banate hain. 😡

If there were judges then everyone will be goody goody. And this show is all about fights.

And we have seen in other shows like nach baliye, jhalak, indian idol or superdancer that how even judges are biased to few contestants.

Yes, but then audience will be spared from wasting their time on voting.

People who think that way usually come from privileged background in my experience. Get into a corporate job for few years and then come back and we will have a nice chat about "professionalism" and "work ethics" over a cup of tea.
