Because they're not equivalent - Rohit was a member of the team - that's competition, where win or loss comes into play - he chose to play for the other team's win. Here there was scope for Rohit to be bashed for being a traitor or praised - and Sallu went with the latter.
A sanchalak is a referee and win or loss does not feature there - fairness does. We've had plenty of unfair sanchalaks, but here the sanchalak was legit playing for the other team - when that was not her role to begin with. And if it's a role play task, then of course the role matters - if one is playing the role of a judge, and one decides to go and sit with the defendant or the complainant, then that is not going to be praised.
