Yes Surbhi was unnecessarily provoking him but she wasn't actually wrong imo. She was talking about his career n stuff but only because he started discussing it first. Otherwise nobody had ever talked about his career till now. She was trying to point out how he is trying to get sympathy which we audience have been noticing about for a few days now.
As for Sree, he could have easily given her back because it's Surbhi, she has done hundreds of mistakes in the house. He could've talked about the things she has done and is guilty of. But he decided to take it very low and to a very ugly tangent.
If Sree hadn't crossed his limits nobody would have objected the "Surbhi deserved it" comments.
And how are people defending him? I think I saw him in precap stubbornly repeat that sentence again infront of Salman?
