I know that BB is just a show. But sometimes certain things such as a scene, storyline, or dialogue can really stir emotion within you. Usually I get excited over ArBi scenes !! But today I became quite emotional over the final scene when Omkaar FORCED Bharti to marry him.
First of all, let me clearly state that it made me quite upset because here we are talking about a WOMAN. It's Bharti, NOT Bhaskar. A woman was forced to marry a man, despite the fact that she was visibly distressed and it was clearly against her will. I'm not going to refer to Armaan here, that's already been discussed in other posts. My issue is that it really made me think about the status of women and the power that men have over the female gender...
Omkaar (God, I could shoot the 🤬) is a thug, violent and obviously has the ability to overpower Bharti. And that's exactly what he did today. She had no chance against him. And the tragedy is that the bloomin Pandit just sat there like a lemon and others watched the tamaasha unfold.
So, my basic point is....why at times are women treated like cattle? It really hurts!! Why is her voice silenced with a man's physical strength? Why do her tears go unnoticed? Jeez, that scene really has got me worked up!!
Finally, hats off to Ragini Khanna. I cannot even begin to imagine any other actress that would be able to carry off such a variety of scenes. She makes me laugh with her comic timing and today she made me tearful with her powerpacked performance in the Mandir scene. Her begging, her pleading, her screaming...kudos to the girl. She once again has shown that she can give any other actress a run for her money.
