Dheerbai conspires to make Jagmaal the King but the nobles choose Pratap..

We all know this much.
But what were the details ? How this actually happened ?

I am curious about Dheerbhai's role. Did she have any agreement with Akbar? Or was it post the dethroning of Jagmal that mother and son decided to capture Mewar with the help of Akbar?

And was Udai Singh such a dud to crown Jagmal and not a son and an able potential king like Maharana, simply because of his live for Dheerbhai? Wonder if there is any other reason behind. If it had been anyone else it may be believable. But one with such a prowess snd superiority in all aspects visibly not made the king makes me wonder.

You know even am a bit confused like Kaana here because I get Uday SIngh was not well and stuff but he knew that Pratap was the perfect candidate and he would have taken care of his family no matter what so what drove him to make a dud like Jagmal the successor

Now as the show is moving towards th vey same sitaution I feel they might show DheerBai tampering with the will to make Jagmal the heir or like you mentioned Jagmal creates a small party of his own along with his mama

I also wanted check if DB really met with Akbar personally as shown in the show.

We all the know what they served us in terms of Pratap's marriage alliances and stuff I mean only two wives have been shown while by now he had around 6 of them I guess

You know Abhay am so grateful we have folks like you, Kaana, Rati who are able to tell us what actually happened that helps see the jhol CVs serve us

This is drama. :-P

It is true Akbar used to play tricks in succession politics in Rajputana. Akbar supported Jagmaal. Jagmaal will go to Akbar soon, we will see. But in present case, i do not have any historical reference to say that Akbar and DheerBai planned as shown here.

Udai Singh was not like what is normally thought. I have posted the Mewar records. Even before his death he was collecting forces to fight Akbar. But yes, Jagmaal was chosen whose selection is attributed to machinations of Dheer Bai. But Pratap was able and later he was seated by nobles. We do not know what were the circumstances and what plans DB played for Jagmal.

BTW, don't form your opinion about Jagmaal after watching the show! I don't like how Jagmaal is shown. He was a good soldier and died in a war. But here is is shown as you know what.!

Also, i was furious to see the wrong portrayal of ruler of Bundi. He was made a clown! He was shown in earlier episodes.

It was complete opposite of what Rao Surjan Singh Hada - a man of steel ; was known for! TImelines were mixed and they showed Surtan instead of Surjan who was of course cruel.

CVs should understand that the show is about our Maryada Purshottam Ram aka Pratap - a man of HIGH ideals and morals, but they should take care of other people also and portray them carefully.

But that is something we can not expect from TV shows. All shows focus on leads only and not the side characters.

I am sure there was some reason to select Jagmaal. DB's machinations.
We can not get the details of what happened in his last days. From more digging i came to know that along with DB, Jagmaal also had a small group of supporters who played their part, whose names i mentioned in the article.

Even the name of Sagar Singh is mentioned in the accounts. Where has he gone ?
More i am searching.

Compiling a post on Maharana's wives , etc. Will see more details there. :)
