They showed Phool as Pratap's 2nd wife and as far as Jagmal's supporters go his maternal uncle is being shown there who arranges a meeting with DB

Thanks for sharing this post again! I was shocked to see the unmasking of Dheerbai in the present track.

Though we know history, somehow i was lulled into believing that the reel Dheerbai had really changed in this show to the extent that i couldn't understand why Jayawanta Bai was wary of her still. But now it can be truly said that leopards don't change their spots. 😆 Dheerbai is back to what she does best - conspiring to get the throne for her son. Actually this is a relief from her tragedy queen image of the past few weeks.

I can imagine just how much drama will be enacted before Pratap is crowned king. There was high drama in real life too. So the situation lends itself easily to a high degree of dramatization.

PS: i am impressed by how polygamy is being shown in this serial. The interactions between HK / Salima Begum / Phool and between Ajabde / Phool as also the older equations between Dheer Bai / Jayawanta Bai are shown well. Not many shows are able to do justice here. Most producers might have shied away from showing Phool as another wife of MP in the fear that it might overshadow the love story between MP and Ajabde.

It is interesting to see how a Mughal wife would have reacted to a Rajput wife in Akbar's harem, without playing overt games. And in a serial dedicated to MP, to be able to peep into the mind of Heer Kunwar regarding her perception of her marriage, Akbar and his willingness to keep marrying is quite the cherry on the cake. :) Wish we had seen more of this in the other show which centered around Akbar and Jodha.
