@bold: Exactly my thoughts! I was way too confused as to what was actually going on in their minds! I felt very disconnected with them as I couldn't really make out their inner turmoil ( if any, cuz Pratap doesn't seem to be having any 🤣 ) . Some people liked the episode but on the contrary, I've vented my frustration out in another post.
And yeah, the magic had faded long ago still I'll still keep watching the show only and only for these lovely actors- Faisal and Roshni. As far as the leap is concerned, I better keep mum cuz I may be proved an alleged 'basher' out here. But yes, I'll watch the show after the leap only if the historical facts are kept intact and without this much of melodrama. I'm putting up with all this right now, but I won't be able to after the leap.
LOL glad to know I wasn't the only one going WTH through the epi...the editing/direction is just off in that sense...and sadly Pratap-Ajabde bear the brunt of this as characters...where is the Pratap who was so clever and gallant at the same time? And the Ajabde who was dignified, strong and serene even if she had that big inferiority complex within her...
I guess the thing is that before this, there were solid ISSUES to build the conflict b/w the characters around...like initially when Pratap lived in Bijolia, there were all those Mughal planned attacks happening on him and then later on the issue of Pratap's marriage being raised...but then ironically just as the characters became sure of their feelings, the story went for a toss...if they wanted to build all this angst, they should have given it more depth rather than bringing in these cliched external scheming factors like DB.
In the middle of all this scheming, the P-A who bonded on things like the divine serenity in Ajabde's singing, their love for Kanha, their pride in their motherland, their self-lessness...they are gone...now all we have are two children fighting petulantly over contrived issues as and when the writers see fit...this could have been a good time to get the two to bond and talk about their feelings but the writers don't seem interested in that...maybe they only want to jump directly to romance after the leap and they think the kids are holding them back on that front😆
And I suspect things will only get worse with the leap...cuz then they will have the added masala of romantic scenes to show and complicate the love triangle😆
I'm not sure if I'll watch after the leap much...Faisal has owned this role like no other...hard to picture another Pratap...with the way he balanced all aspects...the action, the romance, the emotional scenes...the kid is a true blue star.
