Hi Guys,

I was reading the wikipedia page for history of bundi and found that Rao Surtan was in power from 1531-1544 and afterwards it was Rao Surjan Singh from 1544-1585.

I have read that Maharana Pratap was born in 1540 and currently he is around 13-14 years in the show. So according to the above data, it should be Raja Surjan Singh in power right now and not Surtan, According to the wikipedia page, Rao Surjan defeated mughal army 13 times and even when he accepted the alliance from Akbar, he was quite protective about his nobels and women of bundi.

The rao shown in the show doesn't fit into this picture as he is quite atrocious and doesn't look like if he will be so powerful to defeat mughals. I'm quite confused.😕😲

Seems like CV's are taking creative liberty here...Pratap is shown to have taken oath not to touch any weapons...this oath was forced upon him by JB...so I guess this confrontation with Surtan / Surjan will help JB take her oath back and let Pratap live more freely...

Thanks @ami for making this informative thread as I don't know anything about Bundi nd its rulers.

It seems MPs director nd writer are showing their creativity here by modifying historical things. Are they doing it with a conception ki its abt Bundi nd abt Mewar, viewers doesn't know much abt bundi's history ... So they're giving CHURAN to viewers in this thing... 😛

Did read the same thing anywhere else other than Wikipedia as it is not that reliable source of info. If u or any1 else finds any additional info related to this then plz post it here. It add to my knowledge... 😊

You're right cherryberry. Wikipedia is not so reliable. I browsed few more websites but all of them have the same timeline which is mentioned in the wiki.

Look at the bundi fort in the below website. Its so beautiful.

They r so awesome. All forts nd historical monuments in Rajasthan r maintained very well by its state govt. They all r spacious, huge nd beautiful.

ok found this definatly wiki is mixed up with years. So far in MP most of the part of story is matching taking out JB madness

this links says Rao Surjan (1554-85) given Ranthambore Fort to Akbar in 1533. 1533? what age akbar was :)

LOL! There is a reason why I made a thread on historical correctness in recent episodes.😆

They are not making sense at all. Material on history is not really in line with what they are showing now.

And till now NOWHERE I have come across Pratap's involvement in Bundi during Rao Surtan's reign!

Rao SurTan and Rao SurJan are two different people. The latter was installed at Bundi by Udai Singh as per a book on Maharana Pratap. He was a trusted guy unlike corrupt Rao SurTan.
