Lakshmi after knowing that whole family lied and betrayed her... She realised that Rishi is not that much wrong at the first place as she thought... because everyone took advantage of her and she also realised that she loves him so much that she can't help herself to stop from saving him.. but honestly I felt bad that she confessed her love while waking him up.. but now she has different mentality.. she decided to accept things as it is... first dissolve marriage after one year for him to marry his girlfriend as she started thinking that he never loves her but she loves him more than anything in this life.. now she lost all the energy to fight with anyone and she feels there's no need for that as everything is fake but her love is real. Her happiness lies with him which she finds difficult to comes to terms with it while fighting with him..that's why she cried her heart out everytime when she fights with him.. she just decided to know his well being to continue her life alone by taking care of her sisters.. so this is the medicine she can use for her broken heart.. that's why she didn't feel bad to attend the dinner and accept his friendship request... earlier it was like...she thinks she is his wife and he cheated her by not revealing the truth of his relationship.. she held only him as accountable and now she is shocked about whole family involvement and she couldn't blame anyone as they strongly believed her as a tool to save Rishi.. so she just tired of getting shock after shock.. she didn't want them to buy her or treat her like a kavach ..but she wants him to be safe and live his life happily with the girl he loves i.e manishka..she doing this for herself or else it's difficult for her to be strong...no one can do that... She can't show her broken self to her sisters and she is not super human to become strong just like that after being hurt like this...now she slowly started moving on by accepting everything but she knows she can't love anyone again in life..so she just decided to live her normal life and save her love without anyone's knowledge just for herself..if he is alive, that's enough for her to live her life now...this is true love..very painful but hating that Rishi keeps on getting confused with Mallika and Lakshmi... He started falling in love with Lakshmi after snake incident..but he doesn't want to accept because of his commitment to manishka before Lakshmi comes into his life...

Slow burn love story... Lakshmi is so cute...I love her so much now

I have always loved Lakshmi to be honest, but I hate the fact that she is putting up with betrayal so easily. I don't mind her loving Rishi, because well, that's the story; what I am upset with is the way she now treats Rishi!

It kind of puts Rishi on pedestal, for me the show will be ruined if Rishi confesses his feelings in future, and she would happily accept it, because hey, that guy still betrayed you... and I have listed the ways in which she was hurt by him earlier; it's so difficult to see her being cool with everything now. Be cool, be in love, accept those feelings in front of all; but don't just call Rishi acha insaan, because for me - as a viewer, he is terrible human being! That's the only part I am unable to digest!

Second, no matter how nek a person is, how could one forgive and forget about all that so easily. Her being angry and cold is so much more relevant than all this!

@Bold- another issue; Rishi knowing Lakshmi loves him, no matter what he does makes it cringe... Like yeah, you can troll Lakshmi, betray her, keep confessing and saying you will marry malishka, do all stupid things, but she will forget all that and love you.

Loved reading everyone's point of view...if I'm not wrong with her character understanding, Lakshmi won't accept Rishi anytime soon.. that's not gonna happen now even if he realised his love and confessed his feelings.. she is so strong to be like this now. It's easy to fight and show angry but she is not doing that at all. She decided to be strong and not let her love ruin her family ( sisters).. that's her character..she was never angry at all in her life but when she saw her husband having affair with the person she treated as friend...she lost it.. she burst out but again her love started hurting her like hell...she couldn't handle both... She secretly cried whole night and tried to be normal during the day...still Rishi made it difficult for her by coming before her every now and then.. Its terrifying to meet the person who breaks your heart and you realise you can't live without him... this is her situation.. after gun shot and whole horroscope truth revealed, she now don't have much hatred and angry for Rishi... Whole family should be blamed but she even tried to understand them by putting herself in their shoes.. she understands as a mom, Neelam wants to save his son so, she did this... The problem with Lakshmi is what Rishi saw first during Diwali episodes.. he told her not to let anyone treat her badly because of their own mess... She is not obliged to take their shit even that person is himself...but she still doing the same.. she tried to understand others like why they did that and all and now she got it that she has nothing to deal with him as she got it Neelam hates her so much and she thinks it's because she also acted all the time and she is not blaming her because her son loves someone and he was forced to marry her... So Lakshmi letting it go for her own sake ..only in dramas, we can see talking angry dialogues when faced cruel and brutal betrayals.. in real life, 80 percentage we don't go for revenge but trying hard to deal with the pain and ways to come out of it to live normal.. Lakshmi is not portrayed as dramatic queen but normal and sweet girl who never let the world change her character no matter what happens to her.. she time and again told Rishi..he changed her way of seeing world but now after whole truth comes out... She just wanted to pick herself up from the drains...it's for her sisters now..

She loves Rishi more than her sisters earlier but now more than love, it's responsiblity to give good life to their sisters matters for her now.. no one is giving the job she seeks because of no experience and she just working as sales girl.. it's not movies or dramas to have a situation like she suddenly went into top after leaving Rishi..she saw that everytime.. whenever she faced some crisis..Rishi stepped in to save her with his power of oberai name... She wants to fight her own battle but none ready to listen to her..they just wanted to finish her if Rishi is not there for her.. how can she forget all this.. so she just decided to move on with her life and fulfill her responsibility to her sisters and just wanted to save Rishi for her own peace when he is in danger. This doesn't mean she will accept him.. it's fun now because Rishi gonna realise his love soon and accept his feelings for lakshmi wholeheartedly but Lakshmi not gonna accept him anytime sooner... Rishi misunderstanding her hood nature and taking advantage of it now and she just letting him do that for him to heal soon.. she realised that he see her as friend only and she accepted it.. if he crossed line of friendship, she will vent out her feelings which she buried already.

To be honest, this makes sense in the way they have made Lakshmi's character so far..

But given the most recent events of how iTv have been dealing with betrayal and forced marriages, I am little reluctant to give this a shot that Rishi won't be accepted easily idea, the way Rudra treated Preesha and the way Preesha still accepted him in her life is what Kekta and other PHs have been doing lately. But nevertheless, I do not mind the show as long as Lakshmi is out there living her life on her terms. And of course Rishi going through hell to win her trust, but my issue is that I see Lakshmi has already started trusting him more than making peace with all... Lakshmi trusting people has been her characteristic but someone like Rishi would be really unrealistic, like even in reality. I am also not in favour of drama queens and situations tbh but in real life too, you would continue to ignore and not be friendly with someone who betrayed you. But since this is iTv we are nevertheless seeing drama of what happened in bank and jewelry store, that made Lakshmi softer towards Rishi's betrayal.

Second, I do want Rishi to realize his feelings but it should not be after Malishka's manipulation has been revealed, you know that sort of makes it like this woman isn't worth me, because somewhere he is playing with her feelings too. I have never watched Udaariyaan but what I gather is that Fateh realized his mistake of leaving Tejo because Jasmine was made villain and he learnt that... Not comparing the shows but trying to make point that feelings for one person cannot be dependent on any other person's presence or actions. I want Rishi to want to be with Lakshmi because he realizes that she is a gem and not because Malishka is a manipulative one here.

PS - So, glad to see people finding some discussions on this forum... Which deserved more hype than it gets

Reading all these opinions and yesterday's Lakshmi's dialogue with herself that she would not have talked to the person if it was not Rishi after the betrayal made me see her character development in a different light. She is still a strong girl she is just too much in love with the guy and no one can leave a chance to talk and see the person they love be happy. So whatever she is doing is out of her love without expecting anything in return.

But I completely agree that Rishi needs to realise his feelings for Lakshmi without making Malishka a nefarious villain like Rhea from Kumkum Bhagya. She was shown to be a nice girl from the beginning. She is a classist but they should not show her hatching schemes and harming Lakshmi with Buaji's help. She should be herself and Rishi should realise what they had was never love but just an attraction that he was made to believe was love. ( Sonia had said in an earlier episode that they got together only after people kept telling them they liked each other and were a couple)

He needs to realise what he feels for Malishka is just his stubbornness and now his guilt that he promised he will marry her. Rishi's character development should be improved

Malishka not being bad is impossible! Lol, Kekta ruined vedika from BALH! He has feelings for Malishka or not, I don't know, but right now - He seems like out of line at the moment.
