Honestly I can't believe that arohi is ayan's daughter as I understand his sorrow about his wife'death but these two don't behave like daughter and father. It is as they don't even know that the other exists. If I didn't know better, I will think that she is duffer and dusky's child. So weird

Well when Maya told not to drink in office and duffer drunk it was not rule breaking. She was always with duffer. When Maya told not to drink post wedding, she didnt stop him from drinking knowing well his wife had abhorred him to do that. Maya's CCTVs might have been extreme, but tell me which of her rules were bad.

The same rules had made Arjun Sharma a sober man today, he thinks of her rules about healthy food, he is disciplned, cares for his family. Maya's rules played an important role in making Duffer, Arjun Sharma.

So one rule for her and other rule for others, and bend the rule as you please. Dusky is the best lawyer available in the world.

@Zorina only thing I want the CVs to establish is that both women played an important role in Arjun's life. Making him what he is today. One is not Rakshaas, other is not Devi. Both have their own flaws, their own selfishness and can be devi and rakshas based on their situations and places. Both had their places too. One wife and other friend as per S1. If everyone stayed in their places things would have been good. One way or the other we all feel Saanjh snatched Maya's place making use of her insecurity pushing her completely away from Arjun's life to the darkness she desperately tried to come out through the marriage. Now Maya in every sense has become Ashwin's daughter who will use any means to get her end. None can stop her from destroying everything around and herself too. Arjun thinks he can, but he cannot unless Saanjh in true sense becomes Prem Mathur's daughter in action.

Yes, she didn't like the dog. And didn't want him to be with them on the breakfast table. What is wrong in that? Neither did she scold Aarohi or make her scared, that ur overreacting so much.

And if her pulling Aarohi's ears to protect her from eating cheese makes her a child beater, then I dunno what to say to u.

As for Maya's rules, they were extreme enough for Arjun to be exasperated and annoyed. As Zorina said earlier, Maya made parathas for Arjun and did not let him have them. If she didn't want him to have them, why make them in the first place?

Tells enough that she only wanted to assert her rights and control over Arjun, by all these acts, and this made her happy.

Saanjh here has made parathas for Arjun to make him happy since that is his favourite. See the difference?

Maya told Arjun not to drink, and when he did drink, what did she do? Made him drink beer until he passes out. And the 2nd time, emotionally blackmailed him to give up drinking by supposedly endangering his child's life.

And u think, Arjun remembered maya and the paratha scene in context of how it made him a better person. I don't, I think he remembered only the pain that she caused him by keeping his favourite food in front of him and not letting him have it. That is okay, it's just a matter of perspective.

And, even if Maya's habits that made duffer Arjun Sharma, then the pain that Maya caused him, too played an.equal if not bigger role in making duffer Arjun Sharma. He's not protecting his family and is responsible by getting inspired from Maya, buy because he is scared of Maya coming back and destroying his life. And that, is not such a great thing, if u come to think about it.
