I agree that there is no explicit direction how to stop the video! Samay chose to do it a particular way! So Maya has nothing to do with it! Is it as simple as that?
Maya knows how Samay can be inspired to do dirty things for her! She saw how violent the person could turn out to be! Did she see a live demo of 'cuting his finger'?
In this context, she has sent a subtle message making a request in the name of his love for her & at the same time putting Arjun in front of him! It is a clear provocation & instigation! And the jealous mad dog showed his loyalty to the master!
Her subsequent reaction & insensitive feeling upon hearing Prem's death like 'no matter how many people die, no one can separate Arjun from me', puts her in the same class of Samay! Both can do anything for their love! And Maya used Samay knowing him well!

Samay did not kill Prem to blackmail Maya. He could've blackmailed her with so many other of Maya's crimes in which he wasn't even as responsible as Maya was. As for maya not telling samay to kill Prem. She knew what kind of a psycho Samay is who could go to any extent for his love. Being that kind of a psycho herself I'm sure she understands that. Hence the instigation, 'yehi hai tumhara pyaar'. And ''tumhare hote huye". She may have not directly told him to kill but she meant it in all probability. And the zero remorse over what her instigation has resulted in confirms this.

For all maya deeds maya supporters keep on saying saanjh and vandana only instigated so the fault is on saanjh n vandana. So here also the same thing happened.

Even shruti in her thread keep on saying na maya deeds are reaction because of the cause. Here cause is maya and the reaction is from samay. So for prem's murder maya is also responsible along with samay

Maya's 'Tumhare hote hue ayaan ka video kisi ke haath kaise lag gaya?' comment is a direct challenge to prove his loyalty & hence a clear provocation to excite Samay for doing something for her!

Her, 'Yahi hai tumhara pyaar?' comment is a lure dangling in front of lust-struck psycho & is nothing but an instigation to win her love by doing something exemplary for her!

'Roko uss Video ko' is the command from his goddess to get the job done by hook or crook, the same policy of his worshiped master!

'Arjun mujhme achchai dhoond raha hai. Woh meri buraai nahi dekh sakta!" is the comment reminding him constantly the competition he has to beat, if ever he can hope for winning her love! It is her way of threatening him!

Incidentally, one can hardy miss to note that Arjun has to really 'search' for whatever little goodness left in her all pervading evil self is the self-commentary she wants to make about herself!

Maya is playing very consciously a double game with a crazy psycho! She has to own-up her responsibility, even if Samay misfired this time & went for overkill literally!
