I was laughing through out the episode the way the prosecutor lawyer presented the evidence. Unlike Saanjh screaming on Ayan's case this lady went on examining her witness in a very professional manner. What Ria told was the truth. Yes Arjun wanted to show off, that he controls his wife. Now that cost him dear. Coming to Ramprasad, Arjun you dont bring your friend of opposite sex to your office in the absence of your wife. Especially when Maya was in aslyum. No Maya didnt do anything here. Yours and Saanjh's special dosti has sounded the death knell for you. Society doesnt take special friendship the way you think Duffer and Dusky and Ramprasad told exactly what the society thinks, when a married man whose wife is in mental aslyum spend more than the required time with a friend of opposite sex that too in a bit of intimate moments. The hug was still ok, but Saanjh holding Arjun close to her stomach. If you ask me too to take that scene as just platonic well I wont take it.
See in season 1 Saanjh cut Maya from Arjun at night and when she comes to Maya's office next day Ramprasad comes and keeps Maya's photo beside Arjun. That time itself I knew it will be the society and its eyes that will come between Arjun and Saanjh's so called special friendship. I had also told Arjun will travel his dad's path. Arjun's mom was a cancer patient. Maybe his father spend more time with Vandana as a friend and the society saw them in some inappropriate positions which resulted in rumours and finally the marriage happened as maybe his father felt that was the most honorable thing to do to Vandana as society has tarnished her image. It could also have been one sided attraction. We dont know. But of course a man who has a wife with third stage cancer and a little boy to take care of will be emotionally drained and could do with some emotional support which might have bought Arjun's dad and VM together. So if Vandana was so sure what the society told was completely wrong she would have been empathetic with Maya atleast when the girl fell on her feet. She would have observed Maya than make outright judgement about her. So her behaviour with Maya in season 1 shows there was some truth in what society told, just like there is truth in what society tells.
The nurse, the maid are not lying. They are telling what Maya told them, but now the intrepretation looks different. Now Saanjh she told Maya was mad. I loved when the public prosecutor asked her how easy it is for someone to tell a person is mad, but do they realize what the person undergo. The doctor underline what I believed atleast from Season 2. Maya is not mad. She is not. She has depression. She has severe mental issues due to her traumatized childhood and when it is reminded, she reacts violently. Reason a mad person cannot build an enterprise like Fashion and City. No a mad person cannot build it. Mental illnesses is not madness. It needs to be checked when the issue is triggered and then the solution has to be for the source of the problem. Maya's depression stems from the fact that she is alone. If between her and someone else the other person is chosen. Jhanvi chose Ashwin, Arjun chooses Saanjh. VM calls her mad and bad. This makes her a control freak and makes her travel the dark path. None of this so called white characters had looked her as an woman who had set up Fashion and City. They had ignored the light in her and chosen the darkness in her.That darkness claimed her and is claiming everyone around her.
Arjun Sharma the prosecutor nicely trapped you by calling Saanjh your mistress. You raised your hand. Yes Duffer you raised your hand. Your emotions are not in your control duffer and you cant help it. How can it be, when your madness is around. Today you were telling Dusky is your support system, but to Maya you told she is your madness. So she serves multiple purpose. If she is your support, how come each time she speaks you are moving more into the mess.Support doesnt behave like that, but yes madness can behave like that.
Now the defense lawyer was telling they are not discussing Arjun and Saanjh love story. They are discussing Maya's murder. I felt like laughing Saanjh was arguing for Ayan rape case as if it was Arjun-Maya divorce case. Now when someone else is using that funda it cannot be digested.
Maya devi satkodi pranam sweekar karo. Tum is duniya ki nahi ho to plan with such brilliance.
