@HippoSucks:
You ask when has Vandana humiliated Maya? How about when she threw water and trash on her in front of 50 people from their building? When she asked to stop the wedding and asked Arjun to get up from the alter on their wedding day? I wonder if we all have been watching the same show?
I understand not liking a character? But pretending like many things didn't happen I don't understand! I had no problem with Vandana not wanting Maya as her daughter in law. But her reasons were mostly based on Maya's abusive past with her family and particularly with her Father. Just like many ignorant people who end up rejecting victims of abuse, Vandana did the same thing. Even still her bias I understood, even though I didn't agree with it. But when she threw water and trash on Maya, that was when I thought she crossed the line. Did she really think Arjun was going to take her side after that? She was so stupid in her approach. No wonder Maya did everything in her power to extract Arjun from them after that. Maya tried to get her acceptance. But she could not. But instead of crying and sacrificing like typical Indian doormat Bahu's, she took revenge. Doesn't make her right. But Vandana's own short sightedness is what caused it in the first place.
Vandana is no saint and neither is Ayaan. You who are so willing to call Maya a rapist and a murderer at every turn (even when she hasn't raped anyone and they never yet proved she killed anyone), is pretending that Vandana never ill treated Maya and Ayaan didn't sexually assault Maya. I totally accept it even if they do show Maya killed people, because I understand this is a thriller. But then I am also willing to accept that the other people in this story are not perfect either, and capable of being wrong or of committing crimes. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander too. Vandana Mata and Ayaan are not innocent either.
