He should have taken her to a good psychiatrist very next day when she tried to harm herself. It's easier to do hands up when your spouse is mentally disturb, but hard to be with him/her forever.

But, what if he tried everything in all these years, but nothing worked. I would recommend not to leave your partner becoz of illness, that's real test of your loyalty, but Maya is something else, she's extream. When she's mad, she doesn't know one good limit and probably kill anyone, and when she's not mad, she starts living in her delusional land where there's nothing wrong with her marriage.

What if Arjun suggested to take help, but Maya refused. You can't drag someone to psychiatrist clinic. As I have said before in case of mental disorder self realisation is must.

You are right.. we still don't know if Arjun did try to help her get any psychiatric help all this while.. but so far he seems to have opened up quite a lot about all his miseries but didn't mention of any such attempt from his side.. not even when he talked about her suicide attempt to Ayaan.. the way he presents his case, he doesn't even seem to consider that Maya may have some serious mental issues..

@bold red- that is something I will not agree with.. there are several categories of mental disorders so one can not generalize.. in many cases patients are not aware.. that is why they say family support for such people is so important.

Samay, knows Maya inside out. He made a mistake and he reeped the consequence. But that only made his loyalty and love for Maya stronger.

Like Shruthi said in her posts Samay kept a test for Maya and Saanjh.

Saanjh failed that test and Maya aced it. The smirk I would like to think was his pride in Maya. That his girl is the right choice and this is the girl that one could trust with their life.

Samay gives Saanjh freedom and she runs to Arjun hides things from Samay her bf. She does not look at Arjun and Maya as a unit but is looking at the problems that Maya is causing... not the solution. Basically Saanjh is happy keeping Arjun single and Samay as her bf.

Samay offers himself to Maya, a woman who is in a very unhappy marriage, is unwanted by the society and talks the truth about her Hubby. But the girl is unwavering in her love and loyalty towards Arjun her husband. I am sure Maya knows all of Arjun's faults but she will not let another person insult him.

Given their past and knowing Maya... it will almost be next to impossible to get back in Mayas good books. Samay knew that he could not just go back to Maya to help her... she will refuse him and do the opposite. I would like to believe that Samay is also a manipulator, like Maya but he manipulates for Maya's good.

Will he be positive to Maya? The answer will be yes and no. His manipulations will make the current Maya extremely vulnerable and break her. And that will make her face the past. The good will be that no matter what he will be there for her...

Bold - so I wasn't the only one who thought that. I also thought and felt he was smirking because he was proud and had a huge respect for Maya seeing her loyalty and dedication. But at the same time I wasn't sure 100% if that was the reason and later cvs will reveal/show something else. However, that's what first came to my mind seeing that smirk, and it made the most sense for him smirking was because of her extreme loyalty.

Later he said he will drink poison for the girl which again reconfirmed that smirk must have been because of seeing her loyalty. He knows this girl is worth it, and he can even drink poison for her.

@Iheart if Arjun had done that, why didnt he tell that also. Why play victim. Why didnt he tell to Ayan what all did he do to help his wife. As of now there is no evidence of Arjun doing anything of that sort . Unless it is shown with evidence he has done something to help her, Arjun's attitude on dumping all problems on Maya cannot be justified.

It is not with Maya. He has the habit of dumping all his problems on women. Earlier it was vm and saanjh. Now it is Maya.
