Karaali, you might want to watch all episodes if you haven't and are willing to. From my understanding, Maya suffers from multiple mental health conditions. Depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Self harming, being a few of them. She's shown symptoms of all these conditions but since the CV's haven't acknowledged any of them yet, these all remain interpretations, speculations and theories. There can be made other possible theories too with regards to why Maya is the way she is. The lack of proper research, good writing and guts on CV's behalf is what ruins her characterisation.

She isn't a conventional serialistic 'vamp' though. Stories like this show has can't go by the general terms of describing a character because a character like Maya is a highly complex one which is why it gets difficult to put her one in box and label her. If I'm describe her, I'd say this is her story, she's the main character and every character around her, particularly Arjun and Saanjh, play pivotal roles.
