Neither Aneri has that kind of mystery or oomph in her to make her suitable for this role... she's too plain !

Agree that she has done a lot of wrong things to get what she wants. She was wrong till her marriage was done with Arjun. But after marriage, she did make genuine efforts to change for the better but she was pushed back to her manipulative ways. When she is nice, people take advantage of her goodness. Coming to Jhanvi, though she is Maya's mom, she behaves like her daughter. Jhanvi knows that very well that Ashwin is not a good person. He has only married her for money and has been torturing her and Maya, yet she meets him. She has told decently to Jhanvi not to meet Ashwin but did she listen? Let's assume for a moment that Jhanvi is a normal mother who has given lots of love to her. Maya is normal & has a boyfriend. He is not a good person but Maya loves him blindly which Jhanvi could see & does not like him. What would Jhanvi do at that time when Maya does not listen to her?

Now, don't tell me that I am delusional. I have put this example to support my statement. It is a thought provoking question before saying that Maya has caged her. As Jhanvi said that Maya took care of her like a mother, even this is the part of a mother.😊

Maya diverting Arjun from Saanjh in the name of the work is absolutely wrong. Arjun has got his own life & professional life should not come in the way of personal life. Whatever he is earning that is for himself. However, even personal life should not come in the way of work which Saanjh was doing. When Arjun had to give an important presentation for the meeting, it is his duty to complete it on time & present it before the clients but Saanjh came & he began to have an ice cream with her. All 3 of them are wrong. Both personal life & professional life has to be balanced. Was it necessary for Saanjh to make Maya know that she loves Arjun"? She had made it out of Saanjh's eyes but didn't see the same feelings in Arjun's eyes as per Arya convo in the hospital. If Arjun & Saanjh were lovers & if Maya had come between them, I would have condemned that action.

Coming to the post wedding, Maya has always feared God & has been guilty whenever she did something wrong. If she was really evil, there wouldn't have been even an ounce of remorse in her facial expressions. So she does have a soft side. Her real side comes only before Ganesha idol which is her reality. So this is an indication that she genuinely wanted to let go of her past.

Maya did propose to Arjun and he did take his time to accept her proposal. He had gone to the extent of fighting with his dusky and family to marry her. Vandana's feelings towards Maya is right but even she had contributed to a great extent for this climax which has begun with Arjun getting separated from her and Ayan. Her ways are absolutely wrong. If Maya had desired to separate Arjun from his family despite Vandana's acceptance and motherly love, then I would have agreed that Maya is wrong.

P.S Note: This is not an assumption or the delusion. I am analyzing the other side of the story and was expecting this from the CVs. I am interested in Maya's healing so she can be a better person and lead a better life. She has suffered a lot and at least now she deserves to be happy. If the cvs were to make her that way, why do they make us show empathy towards her?

If you talk about the Law of Karma, it also applies to Vandana. When Arjun brought Jhanvi to his place, Vandana was very rude. She said that it is not a madhouse though she was a nurse. If not for anything, she should have shown some humanity. When Maya came to her house, she slammed the door on her face without looking at her hand which you call it as self-harming. But that is not a fact. She also threw water and trash on her. So Maya did the same when Vandana brought the gift for her. (the story conveys that the world is a mirror. If you give good, it comes back to you. If you give bad, even that comes to you).

Everyone deserves a second chance in their lives and to prove their goodness. It should be a fair chance which Vandana didn't give Maya.

The difference between Saanjh's and Maya's action is the former has done these things post marriage. Both the actions are wrong but the former made a graver mistake than the latter. She was also told by her own mother to keep a respectable distance from Arya but she didn't listen.

I have not seen much of Jenny but I liked her in Saraswatichandra. She can definitely play Saanjh's role easily. So I would have liked Saanjh in that case but I can't imagine Aneri playing Maya's role. according to me, if anyone can play Maya's role apart from Jenny, it has to be Rucha Hasnabnis (SNS) or Anita (in YHM) or the one who played Svetlana's role in Ishqbaaz.(don't know her name).

People must love Maya because they are fans of Jennifer ! Get this straight. People don't love Maya because of Jenny. Yeah, her acting has a hand in making Maya relatable and lovable to the majority of audience. But Most Maya fans are not Jenny fans. In fact, there are Jenny fans who hate Maya and keep bashing her. I am not Jenny fan and love Maya. Are some now so insecure and sad over the fact that Saanjh must be not likable because Aneri doesn't have fans and other kind of excuses? That's such a bullshit reason. If Jenny played Saanjh, I would have still disliked Saanjh and hated her on many scenes where she goes pure evil. If Aneri played Maya, I would've still loved Maya but then I really doubt if Aneri or any other actress would've played Maya as good to make audience love Maya like Jenny is playing. My most fav actress is Drashti, and I don't even know if she would havd played Maya as good like Jenny. Drashti does have the innocence like Jenny brings to Maya, but I don't know about the rest as I have never seen her playing a grey character.

Anyway, stop with this insecurity. Just accept the fact that many don't like Saanjh. I don't understand why Saanjh fans have to be so hurt about it that they keep making ridiculous excuses about why people not like Saanjh. They go blaming Jenny to anyone and anything but Saanjh's character itself which is the problem for many to not able to relate to.
