Other than that Maya could be saying sorry to jhanvi for a different reason and we can't make any assumptions. There is definitely a dual personality in Maya if she is the killer cuz she was having a panic attack thinking that her mother is dying. I really don't know if she will end up to be the killer but all I can say is that the story is definitely gripping! The original beyhadh is back now and so is Maya baby
In the promo Maya says I have made arjun completely mine could be shown to emphasize that she has physically attached herself to him now (SR) ;)

If you realize till now Maya has never done anything directly! She instigate and manipulate people to do what she wants.

Even jhanvi said sorry to ashwins photo! Does that mean she was the killer?
The way she called Maya and said she didn't call her, and those scary looks she gave...does that mean she is the killer?
Let's wait and watch
It's still hard to imagine that a girl that protected her mom for all these years will be the one to attack her...

Like Vandana said, whoever's hands it is that murdered Ashvin, but brain behind it is of Maya. That's why I think it is Arjun who murdered Ashvin after that scene from Maya where she locked herself in room. Maya never does anything directly, she creates situations. It is one thing since start of show we saw.

I don't want them to butcher Maya's character :( and it's something even a child would be able to guess
She is supposed to be a grey character, not a black one
How can Maya attack the person she has jumped into the water for?
How can Maya kill the person that she was trying to protect for all these years
How can Maya kill one of the most important people in her life
It just doesn't make any sense
At the same time I doubted Saanjh cuz just then jhanvi was trying to tell the truth to saanjh, and then she said I trusted you so much. It could be that she trusted Saanjh so much that she was going to tell her the real killer but turned out that Saanjh was the culprit the whole time
