Today i watched the show after almost a lifetime staying away from it and before i start i just want to express my feeling about the episode: 🤣

What on earth was with the beginning scene? vandu and maya's exchange of killer glares back and forth to one another, the build up of tension between the two over tiny shit that made no sense, and the eruption of music every single time something supposedly dramatic happened. I actually erupted into a fit of laughter seeing everybody's reaction to the sweets dropping on the floor, and it is so late in the night with my sister trying to sleep. Now for a whole list of stupidity i noticed in the episode:

1) arjun showing saanjh the hand when she told him he would probs get drowsy seeing the blood; kushal's expressions were deadpan and is it me but arjun really has the knack of showing a bit too much attitude sometimes to saanjh when it comes to maya? Have respect for her, that's your bestie who always has your back.

2) Vandana's bloodbath dialogue...Oooh arjun should be wary about maya from now on because she shed a little blood, at least by vandu's logic.

3) Maya turning a perfectly sweet maya-saanjh scene unnecessarily awkward when saanjh is comforting her saying anybody who loves arjun deserves this family's love...you got the boy maya, no need to rub it in the girl's wounds, that too when she's wiping your tears. Even when maya is being nice some things she says and does ultimately make her seem more sinister.

4) The sweet scene between maya and saanjh was just completely ruined for me seeing arjun's almost uncaring and expressionless face in between shots of the scene. get lost arjun, the only time people care about you is when it comes to maya, other than that you come in the bottom of the line after maya and saanjh. These two girls rock.

5) Maya begging vandana...i'm not falling for that maya, stop playing your games and just leave other people be. Respect the people who respect you and support you and arjun, like saanjh and ayaan, and ignore vandana. Don't resort to playing games and manipulations to keep your relationship with arjun safe. I'm getting very bad vibes off maya in this scene and the scene where she asks for saanjh's help to win vandu over. I just feel like something isn't right or i'm just over thinking it.

6) vandana being scared of maya and terrified. Here's the thing, i don't like to unnecessarily hate on characters and like to see things from their view and despite her idiocy i don't hate vandana because i know she does not have a very good perception of maya. They say the first impression is the last, and somehow maya has made a very negative impression on vandana which you have to admit isn't a false impression. Maya is hard to understand and there is more to her as well and her instincts tell vandana that maya isn't right for her son and i can see it from vandana's perspective for this reason. Don't all parents want their child to marry someone good and who has specific qualities they admire? But for vandu, maya has a shadow of darkness around her that she finds that maya isn't the person she portrays herself in front of arjun or she feels arjun doesn't know her as well as he thinks. I think the writers have built up plenty of reason for vandana to dislike the idea of maya marrying her son, but it is the way they are making vandu act upon her suspicions, which is making her seem like an illogical lunatic. Something was quite off about maya's expression's though right in the end.

All in all, i stand by my feelings that i don't like this show, and every single time i watch an episode i get pissed off seeing arjun, because i really don't like his character one bit, then they show something really stupid that leaves me in splits that i question my sanity for watching this show. So i think i will stick to just reading what you guys say about the episodes rather than watching them and getting myself worked up. On an ending note, if i haven't mentioned it enough, i DON'T like arjun 😆

Some points I agree some points I disagree.

Maya's killer glare at the beginning was not as extreme as vandana. 'Annoying Aunty Vandana Ji' gives Maya the stare as if she killed someone's like seriously that annoying women listens to ashwin. The freakin guy who goes around abusing little children and slapping women. Yesss vandana bravo, you seriously should get an award for being the stupidest person ever

Secondly, when saanjh was talking about love and Maya said u loved arjun too. If you noticed after she said that because she is loved by the family but Maya is not. I don't think she wants to rub it in saanjh face.

Maya begging vandana... What games is she tryna play ?? Games ??? Loool I don't think she is playing games I personally feel she doesn't want vandana to hate her. I really feel she wants to forget her past and be loved but sadly 'typical Aunty vandana ji' can't accept it.

Last but not least I know you hate arjun 😆 but atleast he's one husband out there who supports his wife over his mum. Atleast he's not a mummy's boy. For arjun he doesn't allow shit being said about Maya. When his mum is wrong and when his mum says shit about Maya atleast he's there to support her and back her. He's willing to chose his wife over family. And that's what I expect from guys, to always support their wife and that's what arjun is doing.

I agree 100%. Maya was trying to be nice. But the way she said it to saanj was rubbing it in her face . saanj memories are all in that house, maya wants to leave her mark as well. They might be friends now. Which shes only doing it for arjun sake, same with saanj . but that doesnt mean she still dont feel a certain way knowing theirs another person out there that can easily get her husband attention.
I still say shes using strategies to keep her enemies closer. My sis says it could be maya is faking it. If vandana starts liking her and accusation starts pointing towards her, vandana will help her an stand by her like she does with saanj. I disagree with that. A women can change after marriage, i agree, but not to the point that shes completely weak. Maya can still proove she wants to get vandana to like her without doing too much with the begging and crying bucket of tears.

Its just odd to see maya being manipulative to seeing her vulnerable against vandana which shes not . it just makes the whole ordeal unrealistic. Anyway, It wont be a thriller if something isnt up. Something fishy is going on. We wont know until another clue is reveal.

I agree & disagree with some of the points. I agree that as a mother Vandana has got every right to be concerned about her son. I only despise her ways to eliminate Maya from Arjun. Yes, Maya has definitely not created a good impression but then no mistake is so grave that it is punishable for the entire life. She knows whatever state of mind Maya is in, it is because of Ashwin. Though she knows that Ashwin has not left any stone unturned to torture Jhanvi & Maya. He has gone to the extent of tarnishing her image publicly. He has been abusing her since childhood. If Maya has stabbed his leg, making him cripple, I would not mind that. Not because I love Maya but because I personally feel that no one should get such parents.
The second thing is Vandana has been giving those dirty killer looks. Not Maya. I don't think her efforts are fake. She is putting genuine efforts to be loved & accepted. She genuinely wants to forget her past & move on in her life. She had also prayed to Lord Ganesha to give her the strength to accept Arjun's family & friends wholeheartedly. As for rubbing on Saanjh's face, I don't thnk so she was doing that. All that she was trying to tell Saanjh was, "I want to be loved by the family just as you are being loved." She is not asking for more.

The third thing is Maya never tried to play games with Vandana by falling on her feet though it is going overboard. It just shows though she has everything i.e. name, fame, wealth, class, grace, beauty, & brains, she is nothing without love. I hope this should be the first & the last time for her to fall on Vandana's feet & leave her alone. She needs to focus on strengthening her relationship with Arjun & keep him happy. She should spend more time with Arjun for which she needs to go to the office as she is the founder of the Fashion & The City. She can prove Vandana wrong only by keeping Arjun happy as that is what any parent would want at the end of the day.

Vandana should give a chance to Maya. If she is judging Maya on the basis of the incidents she saw & what Ashwin told about Maya, she should have asked Jhanvi about what Ashwin told to Maya. But no, she is just a way too judgemental towards Maya. Her behavior towards Maya is not acceptable. The pundit has said many good things about Maya but Vandana is only taking what is convinient to her.

I like the post.
I can always justify Saanjh to this date. I can gracefully justify maya too at many angles. I can even justify vandana in some ways. But I don't like arjun.
Firstly he's a very abrupt personality.
Secondly he's ungrateful.
Thirdly he lacks time sense.
Fourthly he shows unnecessary attitude.
Fifthly he's thaili ka baingan. If you know what I mean.
He himself cannot keep everyone happy but he wishes everyone keeps him happy.
You can't hurt maya for saanjh but similarly you can't hurt saanjh for maya.
You have called someone 'maa' but then you should sit with her and sweetly get her off her misbeliefs and superstitions rather than behaving rude and bad. Everyone knows changes have never been brought about rudely. Needs time and understanding. Maya needs Arjun's support too in a way that he makes his mother understand things about his wife rather not treat his mother worse making her believe that the bahu has really taken over the son.

I agree that the first scene with those intense glares and dramatic background music was unintentionally funny. 😆
I found myself rolling my eyes at the melodrama today, and felt like I had mistakenly started watching a Star Plus show.
Couldn't get past the first few seconds of the scene in which falls at Vandu mamma's feet. Desperately begging for her love and crying hysterically, again and again, will only reinforce Mommy's existing perception of Maya as being an obsessive and stubborn woman who doesn't know where to stop.

This show is a waste of time. Only fans of the actors would follow it religiously.

I have to admit, the branding of this show as revolutionary was well done by the Sony and the producers. Jennifer's character: a female lead with many shades really helped. But, all in all there is not anything different about the content. I have seen way better content with the leads having many shades (both male and female) in other Indian shows (not hindi). The overall marketing of this show is good, and we gotta give props to the team for doing such a good job, it is helping all the actors involved in gaining popularity. Kushal for example, I am not a fan of his acting, and as Arjun he is just okay, but his involvement with this show and the branding of the entire product has helped him in getting awards. The way various mediums of art/entertainment is marketed is key in how they are received. Jen on the other hand has been the pulling force behind the marketing tactic to work.

I will still hold this show in a special place despite some major disappointments I have encountered due to the way they are allowing for both their female leads to exhibit more real emotions. I know many people hated on Saanjh for the way she loves Arjun and showed in when it came to her jealousy of Maya, but I honestly loved it. It made her character seem more real. We are not all saints and we make mistakes and do things we may think is right based on where we stand, and I felt the show allowed for Saanjh's character to do the same as well as Maya's. The only good thing about the show was these two characters. I don't watch the show anymore, but will always love Jen and Aneri for their earlier portrayals of Saanjh and Maya 👍🏼

What was up with the episode today?
Maya has no interest in her company or anything else and just desperately wants to only be known as Arjun's wife.
Gone is the strong, independent woman that we saw in the first 70 episodes or so. So disappointed.

Jhanvi's creepiness was the only intriguing thing today.
